A hydroponics shop has just opened up here and I was chatting to her online about some products. I'm currently using hydroponics nutrient from Manutec which is an all purpose nutrient. It seems to be giving reasonable results but I want to step up and start using specific nutrients. I'm growing Northern Lights Autos in perlite/vermiculite. Even though I'm using the manutec I also have veg A and B nutrient by Xtreme Nutrient so am just after bloom nutrients. She has Canna, GeneralHydro, Biodiesel and Flairform. What would be the best choice brand for a newby to hydro? I know sometimes it's personal preference but any advice would be good. Also she has a product called R…

Been a while since I posted here (as it’s been a while since I attempted a grow), but I’m concerned about the decline of this seedling. 2-3 weeks ago it was lusciously green and healthy, but the leaves have been getting pale and now yellowing. Not immediately after transplanting but within a couple of weeks. I’ve read possible causes could be under or overwatering, however it’s generally only had 1 drink p/day. I also contemplated a nutrient deficiency so gave a seedling-dilution of seasol, but still no change. Could the soil be too dense? I did transplant some chilli seedlings into the same soil and they’ve slowed right down. I used Scotts Pure Organic potting mix (…

Gday all, I've got a branch with a couple of buds that's been sprayed with colloidal silver for about 3 weeks, starting on 9th March. I stopped spraying last week when the male nads were showing strongly, and now it looks like they might be close to popping. I started spraying after they'd been in pre-flower for a week cos I'm starting from regular seeds and didn't know which was gonna be a lady. Hi my last run (widow bomb) went according to plan but has a pretty ordinary taste when vaped. Flushed for 12 days or so with rainwater. Tastes a bit like home brew beer when its too early. Had cloned it and that taste wasnt present the 1st time round. Potency is fine, works a treat. The only thing i can think of was: with 5 weeks left i ran out of Enzyme formula and finished the grow without it. Could i be tasting poor root health during the final weeks? Does anyone know anything about making your own liquid fertiliser? Hubby pinched my nutra bullet to blend a small piece of banana skin on, a kiwi fruit, bit of apple and a few potato peeling in water about 2 litres for the 3 week old babies that are comming on strong. Pored a tinny amount on the soil then turned soil a bit.

Hey all, been surfing the net again, this time, came across an interesting article in relation to environmental factors that influence sex in early stage cannabis plants. I'm assuming this will be more beneficial to growers that use regular seeds, as opposed to most of us that pop feminised beans, although it may help guarantee your feminised remain just that?.... Does anyone know of varieties that will do well in in cool/cold weather? I do have a hydro setup in a weatherboard out building that is lined with plywood but here in the TAS winter the room gets very cold even during veg with the lights on(6am -12pm). I had an oil filled heater running 24/7 in there but even so temps consistently got to 8c-11c overnight and anywhere from 12c-16c of a day. I tried growing 2 varieties I had previously grown during the summer (the Church & The Doctor) but they were extremely slow growing and suffered terribly with magnesium deficiency which the horticulturalist at the grow shop said was due to the low temps impairing/preventing the …

Hi, I am running a 80x80x160 grow tent with a 6 inch exhaust and a 4 inch intake and a small fan in the middle. I am going through nutes like no tomorrow from evap fans running 24 7 can I turn them off when the plants go into darkness or can I cut out the small oscillating fan all together.
