So I've tried my hand at making up a mix, got some chook, cow and shroom manure, blood and bone, dynamic lifter, a bit of bokashi, scoria and diatomite mixed in with a decent bag of potting mix. This has been in the bin for a week, getting mixed up everyday. What I noticed yesterday were maggots in the mix. What should I do with it now? Will the maggots just fly out eventually, is it wasted or just add more nutrients to the mix? How much damage will they do to the plants roots or structure? Any comments on my mix or suggestions would be appreciated as always. Cheers

Got 3 outdoor seeds that just sprouted, got them in foam cups on a sunny window sill right now until I transplant into larger pots. Been thinking of making a screen and trying a ScrOG because I don’t want massive plants like I did last time and I haven’t tried this before. Just not sure how high above the plants the screen should be and when to start tying branches down and training them etc? ✌ Edit: Just to add, all 3 are indica

Greetings fellow enthusiasts! I am guessing I will be asking for a heap of advice over the next few months as it has been a very long time since I've done this - and this time I will be doing it outdoors - in pots - because I can! So - I started these from seeds I snagged from some weed I got from a friend of a friend of a friend and the info I have on the plant is very limited but the original seeds were sent from South America to a relative here. My hub has seen a pic of the plants and said they weren't overly tall (outdoor grow) but were very "bushy". And also judging by the effects on me when smoked I am guessing they might be an Indica strain. Sativa's can make …

Gday guys, this is my 4th grow in my backyard and seems to be going nowhere. I prepared my garden months prior to planting by putting Clover, fish scraps along with other veggies n whatnot from my compost, I stopped composting once I noticed preflowers and started ferting with Charlie carp. Unsure if it's just me being impatient or something wrong but here's the plant.

I’m looking to buy a 60X60X80 (5ft) grow tent. Will be growing 4 plants. Not sure if I should just buy a kit from ebay or something like that? I did find one on eBay but not sure if It would be cheaper to buy everything separately. Any help appreciated, have only grown outdoors before. This is what I’ve been looking at:

G'day guys.. I've been running a greenhouse grow for the last few months and have a mix of indica dominant and what look to be nearly pure sativas. My question is, the sativa dominant plants aren't showing sex as yet.. is this normal? All the indicas have shown their sex about a month or more ago and I've gotten rid of the males... but no show with the sats yet? I know the sativas take longer to flower, so do they also take longer to show sex? Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

So... Ive been trying to digest as much literature as i can lately to start ripping into my garden. The goal is to eventually have a really nice organic compost going and eventually become self sufficient, veggies(we have recently dropped meat) , weed etc. Already have solar and planning on piping in some more rain water tanks. Will be adding a hempy veggie garden section see how that goes. Gunna dig out my bed and replace the shit soil and start prepping for a big outdoor beast. Maybe a couple autos aswell while the weather is good. Im fairly new to all of these other than the basic lawn maintenance so open to any advice. Im only making this post so early as im bor…

If I was to veg indoors 20/4 now and throw outdoors ( say in a month) in a greenhouse is there any chance of photos wanting to reveg due increasing light hours. Obviously photo variety. I’m planning on using a variety that takes 55-60 days flower.

Hey guys, germinated a photo and an auto a week ago. Both have sprouted as seedlings. Im planning on keeping the auto 24/0 for a few weeks then reducing slightly to finish it off outside when flowering begins. The photo (or auto) hasnt grown its main leaves yet. But its a hassle keeping the light schedule differnt (for the photo) to work in with finishing outdoors. Can i put the photo straight out now? Full sun for alot of the day? Approx 7+ hours? I've read heaps. And probably overthinking it all. Currently in a pint cup. Seedling mix and perlite. Will move both to 15L pots and canna terra and perlite after 2ish weeks Help a noob. Strain is fast bu…

when your starting a new plant a lot can go wrong, some yrs back i was forced to shelter the new borns after a bout of issues ranging from rodents knocking the small pots over to bugs and ants chewing the babies, espcially if you are a guerilla farmer a small pot can be put on uneven ground by itself which increases the odds it will tip over if a rodent nudges alongside for a sniff, late spring time storms can incl hail which reaked havoc as well for that you will need a heavier duty shade mesh. trouble in the seedling phase can and will cost u a lot of money in seeds and cut your season short if you dont prepare i have several contraptions such as this, they are pegged…

Hi all, I’m currently attempting my first grow and super stoked to be getting underway. I’m just over 1 week into my grow and so far so good. If you have any suggestions or advice to give please just shout as I’m all ears! I’ve attached pictures to this thread. I bought 15 Autoflower feminised seeds(Amnesia Haze, Northern Lights & Blueberry) I chose to plant just 5 as a start. All 5 seeds popped a tap root. 4 have sprouted in peat pots with 1 amenesia catching up slowly hopefully. Soil/medium is a mixture of a local compost/volcanic mix I bought off a guy who specialises in developing organic soiks, with that I added vermiculite and perlite. Up until now I’…

Hey guys and gals, excited to get another grow going this year, had 2 yrs off n itching to get back at it. Trying somthing new this year, i germed my seeds about 5 days ago. My plan is to start these girls early under a 110w cfl untill the daylight hours get longer. Going 5 of each but only picking the best 4. Il use a couple to check sun strength before i transfer outdoors to determine whether they need full shade or not to begin with. A question i have is whats the minimum amount of light hrs i can give the girls in the tent before theyl go to flower? I figure as long as its under what the hrs will be outside when i plan to move them out there i sld be fine. But is i…
