hey all, can some one direct me to a guide on here on the best method on how to dry and cure weed? iv read alot of them but id like to read the main ones on here...

Hi I'm at week 4 flowering with 5 good days of HEAVY rain and wind coming then two days fine then rain again. Should I cover my girl or will the rain do her some good?

Ok so I'm still about a month from harvest and I reckon I'm ok with the drying process but my question is about curing. How long do you keep buds in the glass jars and how often should you burp? And how long do you burp and do you move the buds around a bit when you burp? I've read people saying they cure for three months... so how do you store buds after that? I will be using most of what I grow to pay my mechanic so will need to store for extended periods.

On my first cure after about 4 months the weed starting smelling like old tried food herbs. A mate compared it to smelling like teatree. Done in Mocona jars cleaned and sterilized In the same grow, after the dry and then 1 week cure, I compressed a half oz and then sealed it. It smells great. AFter 3 month cure, it still smelt ok, I compressed another half. Opened up when I opened the half and it smells almost as bad. When I pulled the half out after 3 months it smelt fine. Another way to describe it is after having an outdoor bud in a glass jar for 12 months. Am I letting to much air in? Is it mould? Is has been humid Is it just how curing works? I find after a proper…

Is there anybody who has tried this method and how were the results? Taking into account flowering time size and close timing to the normal harvest date for that strain.... How were your results and would you do it again. As in the last 2 weeks the floral smell has changed every week and has about a month to go based on previous grows of this strain...and the longer I leave it the hash spicy smell of this strain smell overpowers the other scents that start off really sativa and floral.

Hi, is there any merit in dropping the light hours to 8 or even 0 to stress the plant in its final days? Also another line I heard is that letting the plant run out of water is another method to stress and extract more resin. Growing White Widow atm. Cheers Slim

Hi, What is an ideal temp for curing? Where I live it's getting cold at night but I am reluctant to use a heater as last time it hurried things along a little too quick. ATM it is curing in a confined space with intake and outtake fans cranked down low for a gentle circ and I have good air movement between flowers, albeit cold night air. Cheers Slim

Bought my first loupe thought i would get the best one and it is incredibly difficult to use, i got the 60x 100x with focus and zoom plus LED and UV lights how on earth do u manage to use one of these? mine clips onto a phone i managed one shot and it had to be touching the leaf i wanna know how to do side on shots

Hey Stoners, So, I've smoked for decades, dabbled in growing back in the 90's and started seriously growing 3 years ago. In all my time I've never come across the idea of washing your buds after harvest. That changed the other night when I discovered a 1393 page long thread at 420mag forum on the topic!! Hey guys im drying my buds currently and they feel really dry on the outside kind of feel crunchy is my description if that makes sense, im hoping there basically right on curing because if they go much longer they may disintegrate haha the bottom branches actually snapped today but all the other branches bend so from what i read the breaking branches means ots done but the bending branches feel ready basically any tips

I have 4 plants and 2 of them there tricones are clear and the other 2 are a bit cloudy and there are a couple of amber ones coming through. My issue is i have to fo to nz for a week and was wondering if i should pull them before or should i wait till i get back. Everthing is all goood to leave them for a week as in watering a stuff but not sure how fast they are going to change to amber and reach there peak.

Hey guys i just had a thought regarding trichomes and genetics, now i have 2 100 percent indica strains obviously indicas are known for there couchlock, body relaxation properties well everyone says to harvest when trichs are cloudy generally but cloudy trichs are for head highs correct? And amber is for bodystoned? So my question is with my 100 percent indicas that genetically designed for bodystone, will i need to aim for amber trichs still to get that effect or because of genetics i should aim to harvest cloudy trichs? Thank you

Hello there, I am in a state of confusion because I pretty much have no where to dry my buds anywhere other than the bush this season. I was planning to get a large cardboard box and put string through it to hang em up. Then I thought about it more considering that I might to need put up exhaust fans and all. Does anyone know if there any long lasting solar panel fans or would a big battery hooked up to a small desk fan do the job. I am open to any suggestions. Thanks
