Hi all. Well I finally got to harvest! Yay! I have to hang my buds in the shed (also have a fly screen drying rack for smaller nugs) due to pop inspections from the five oh and my rifle licence. People are saying you need airflow but your buds shouldn't move because they dry out too fast. I'm using an oscilating pedistal fan, on low, not swinging and pointing at an angle to the wall in hopes that will create enough current. If I aim the fan down the middle of the shed, the buds move very very gently. Is that an issue if it's that gentle a movement? Oh, I've broken up or pulled apart the biggest buds as they are very dense and sticky and don't want mould. Also, NilOdor…

G'day guys, here's a pretty decent article I came across while doing some searching for harvesting info. I'm not sure if this has been posted on the forum before, but thought I'd share as it seems to have some pretty straight-forward information about harvesting, drying, and curing. Anyway, I hope this can help out some new growers like myself, and maybe even some of the more experienced growers. https://hightimes.com/grow/key-points-of-harvest-time/ Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Hi all. Since I got my loupe, I have been regularly checking my crowns. I've got some really nice looking ones and the top 50% to 70% or so of each of them is nice and milky/amber but further down, not so much, still clear in the majority with a few sparce ambers and lots of white pistils. I'm worried that by the time they 'milk up' and the pistils have browned off, the trics towards the top will be a majority of amber and that's not what I'm looking for. I don't want to get the whole amber couch lock effect that will probably happen if I wait for the entire crown to go milky as by then the tops will be dark amber and past what I really want... Would it be ok to cut the c…

Hi folks. Just wondering if this is enough magnification to see if the trichomes are turning amber. Never having done it before and will it be a subtle change or quite obvious? Cheers in advance. Peace!

So I'm just reaching week 7 here but I'm noticing some of the trichomes turning amber. From what I'm reading, this is prime time to harvest. I haven't flushed or anything yet but I'm wondering if it's wise to wait much longer. Can I get some advice on whether or not to harvesting now would be too early or if I should go for gold? Thanks guys Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

G'day Fellow Stoners. I've been meaning to show this method of 'Flash Drying' some wet buds 'n have it smokable in under 15 minutes. It's similar to an old cooking/heating method known as Bain - marie, that has been practiced for many years. The only difference, the bowl isn't submersed in boiling water, but above it by a few centimeters. Also, no lid because we want the moisture to evapourate, out of the plant matter. We all know of various methods of drying out in microwaves. But lets be honest, every now 'n then we come across a mix that someone has stuffed up by burning it and tainting with that crappy flavour that microwaves are known to do. This way I do it, el…

So I’ll be harvesting about one week before I go on a ten day holiday. I usually hang in a cardboard box from strings and run a small usb fan at the bottom to keep the air moving. It's by no means a massive amount I will have but enough to keep me happy for a few months. Just as they’ll be ready to jar up, I’ll be away for those 10 days. I need suggestions, put in the jar with the boveda pack and risk mould as I won’t be able to burp them OR keep them hanging for the additional ten days with the risk/certainty of them being too dry. Taking the jars with me or leaving with a mate is not an option although I thought about it Suggestions pls from the helpful communit…

I’ve got an outdoor plant that’s in Melbourne being growing for about 3 months. Has anyone had experience with Bud Juice to start flowering process early without changing light. We’re getting about 14-15 hours of a light a day and I need this plant ready in 2 months!

Have you ever notice under a loop or scope when your looking at your trichomes you see back bit of dirt or spider mite poo. Well you can wash your buds in hydrogen peroxide buy 3% hydrogen peroxide and pour in 200ml into a 20l tray the fill the rest with water harvest a branch place into the solution for 2 to 3 minutes and dunk it in that time you will see the crap floating on the top. Get a sponge and skim the crap off. Then remove the branch get a little shake not to hard and get the hose with a gentle spray and hose the solution iff . Hang the branch up get a fan blowing on the branch to help remove the water. You needed get that water off incase it get mould. Works g…
