I usually go with potatoe peel but the paper towel sounds good too , i might try that when i need to, i find if you dry and bag/jar and burp at the right time you wont need anything, its just a matter of timing everything just right

Agree, well haven’t used potato peels, I’ve ever gotten mold before and never used anything...

 

but, as I get older and lazier I figure an investment of less than $1 an ounce in the form of a boveda is cheap insurance. I don’t need to bother checking my jars regularly or at all it would seem.

Boveda/Integra are definitely the best I have come across cause they hit the right amount of moisture content (used in the jar while you cure and you wont have to raise the moisture later) and you can recharge them using the lettuce trick someone mentioned earlier so they last a long time.

What I would suggest if over dry use orange peel mandarin peel if you wanted to put a nice ass smell in it, if you could get a mango skin with a little bit of mangoes on it put a Chux cloth over the fleshy side and put it in your jar or bag overnight and it will rejuvenate plus you get an extra bit of sent have heard of people use Peach as well just make sure the flash does not touch the bud first things first check the stem see if it snaps if it snaps it is really really dry first thing I would do would be very gentle put it in a big bag seal it up overnight then check on it the next day and then you should have a gauge how dry it really is I would not use a wet tissue as it could cause mould and mildew just a thought for all

I have realised a couple of other people have suggested this I can recommend this you have to work out how much peel you need to use or what you would like to use to put this smell back in I would not recommend anything to do with water as it could turn it mouldy just my thought and experience and I have been stuck with too much dry dry stuff from friends I rejuvenated and I give him a bit back and they go where'd you get that and I say it's yours and the response I've got a few times is that cannot be the same I would not use a spray bottle with the alcohol comment you only putting water on it and it's sucking it back in with a spray bottle it won't you need for it too take it in on its own time to put moisture in otherwise you just putting wetness on top of it

Tissue or fruit to rehydrate ,,,.why do you think moisture from tissue would cause mould but not the moisture from the fruit ???

 

Also the use of tissue is so NO other odour can get in there and fuck with the original taste and smell .
