Okay, so recently I have come into the possession of some marijuana that on first glance (with a room full of people) instantly knew something was up with it. For one thing, It weighed to an ounce, however the actual size, feel, smell, basically everything was off. Including this weird browny discolouration on the buds that I could scratch of under my nail. I called the person I got it off and they told me it was some kind of drying agent. However I've been researching all morning about drying agents, residues etc etc but all I've found is that, no one uses drying agents on weed. Wondering if anyone has tried the '3 days of darkness' before harvesting ? From what I have read, 3 days of complete darkness at the end of your flushing period can really increase the resin production of the buds...... Have tried searching on this forum and others but have not found any mention of it, most of the references to this are from the U.S... Any feedback or comments - not sure if I should give it a go or not ?? Buster

Hi all! My first post here, hi all!! I'm growing 6 different strains in my growbox, and one of them is nearly ready for harvesting, but one other one still only has white hairs, no amber, so still has a few weeks to go. The others are all inbetween, some a few days away, others a week or two. How would I harvest and dry them the best way? I can't dry them outside the box because of the smell, which the carbon filter takes care of for me inside the box. And I have read they should be dried in a dark place, so inside the box while the other plants are still growing seems to be a no-go as well. So Im sorta stuck and dont know what to do. Heya Guys, if this works as well as it should , will do a Tutorial later........ Been playing around with a quick and easy Bud Trimmer design, that you can make at home in a couple of hours, and costs ya under $100. I kept the equipment simple, 20L Handy Pail, 250mm 35w Ceiling fan, snap off serated blades, Sheet of Mesh, and ya may need a few spacers and washers and an old fan shroud (small to fit in top of ceiling fan surround, but not touch blades). S'Goin on? Grown from seed since September. Should be 7 feet tall but with LST bent her down to 5 feet. See pics of how main stem recovered from being snapped during LST. I simply imobilised the snappage and let her do her thing and continued with LST on rest of her. 40 litre pot, strategically placed on top of soil so I wouldn't have to transplant to bigger pot or worry about being root bound. I suspect she's grown into the soil beneath. Has anyone tried drying in an old fridge? Seems to dry food out if its not gladwraped. I have issues with smell and close neighbours. I was thinking i could "burp" the fridge when they were asleep.
