I'm trying to put together a Co2 generator. Have tried all the models on youtube, all being : 6 x cups warm water, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 x teaspoon yeast, all I can get out of it is 2 days and it's all over. On youtube the same recipe keeps going for around 2 weeks. The yeast I'm using is baker's yeast. I do it all at room temperature. A couple of times it started off bubbling like it was boiling, slowed down within a day, by the next it was dead. What am I doing wrong? Cheers

You don't need a degree in chemistry to understand the basics needed in creating your own fertiliser mixes. In this post I'll try and run through everything you need to know to create specific nutrient mixes, and I'll do my best to KISS. Inorganic salts (nutrients) are a combination of (positive) cations, and (negative) anions. Cations have a positive charge, and are nutrients such as Potassium (P+), Ammonium (NH4+), Calcium (Ca2+), Magnesium (Mg2+) and Iron (Fe2+). Anions have a negative charge, and are nutrients such as Nitrate (NO3-), Sulfate (SO42-), Phosphate (PO42-) and Chloride (Cl-). In life, things must maintain a neutral charge, meaning that you can't h…

My seeds have just popped and I'm about to put them in a rockwool block, but which way do the seeds go, I read that the root should start facing up as the root automatically does a 180 degree and goes down. Put in with root facing down and the can get tangled up. Is this this right ?

Allo All, So in getting ready for my next diary where I attempt a SCROG configuration, I decided I wanted to try different A&B so took my self down to one of the local hydro places and looked at the nutrifield range. So decided to change from cyco coco platinum to Nutrifield platinum, and also Nutrifield A&B. My choice was this is because I have been using Growright A&B with out knowing that Budright was the flowing part. The Nurtifield A&B covers all. However - the gent said he had a few samples of their boosters and gave me 3 little bottles. This is where I am a little concerned as I don't fully understand them. So I was given the following; …

Anyone come across these products before? I reckon the chips would go great over the top of coco. Also outdoors as a top dressing or mixed through mulch or the compost heap. The pellets could be gently worked into the garden to work at the root zone. Good for the lazy gardner or time poor if drenchings not your thing. Also the gorilla farmer who might need the product to hang around a bit longer. http://www.nobugs.com.au/neem-bark-chips-44ltrs-8kgs/ http://www.nobugs.com.au/neem-cake-pellets-10kgs/ They also sell trees. But was reading they need tropical/subtropical climate. http://www.nobugs.com.au/neem-tree-up-to-30cm/ This place sells trees also but are…

Hey guys, A friend of mine is having a problem with one of his outdoor plants this year, we think its a bug problem, it seems to eat up a couple flowers nearly everyday. Neither of us have seen this before and any help or suggestions on what to do would be very much appreciated.

Hi all, Im new to indoor growing and would like to start cause im running low from my last outdoors grow and no longer have the opportunity to grow outside, I do however own my own home so I don't need to worry about nosy landlords or neighbours as I don't have any close, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend what size grow tent I should get and what lighting I will need? id like to grow hopefully about 2lb a year and I will be growing an indica strain, I will most likely be growing in a coco mix and hand watering, any advice would be much appreciated cheers

I have an outdoor scrog I am attempting. This is a Blueberry clone and I am not expecting much in the way of stretch come flower. The plant was originally intended to be flowered already and therefore in a position where it wasn't supposed to get very tall. If it get's more than another 40cm or so high it will be visible from the road. Screen is 40cm high and approximately 1m2. Questions are when do I remove the undergrowth and when would I need to stop tucking if first flowering date around here is 6th February. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Hi, this is my first post in this forum and i have a doozy of a question.. I have 2 plants; one is in a far more advanced stage of flowering and the other has onlynjust started a couple of weeks ago. Its complicated story.... But if i were to put the 2 together in my skylight at home (not by choice), is there any chance of either of them will start growing balls or seeds??does at any stage of flowering process effectively rule out males or hermaphrodites? I obviously dont want males.... I havent as yet put them together.. Yet, but i will have to. Does the less advanced stage flowering plant need a minimum time unexposed from others.

So i tried to tie my outdoor plant down a few weeks ago. The plants trunk was forked near the bottom and when i pulled it down it split at the fork. The split went right into the woody part of the trunk and basically split in half. I used a cable tie to hold it back together and the wound has all but healed over now although one side is slowly yellowing at the leaves and then they are dropping off. It has been probably a month now since the split and the leaves that are green arent drooping but slowly getting more and more bare. I would have thought if that part of her was going to die it would have died by now? Has anyone got experience with this and am i going to los…
