Cliffe
I'm trying to put together a Co2 generator. Have tried all the models on youtube, all being : 6 x cups warm water, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 x teaspoon yeast, all I can get out of it is 2 days and it's all over. On youtube the same recipe keeps going for around 2 weeks. The yeast I'm using is baker's yeast. I do it all at room temperature. A couple of times it started off bubbling like it was boiling, slowed down within a day, by the next it was dead. What am I doing wrong?Cheers

Even brewing spirits 9kg of dextrose with turbo yeast will be done in 6 days but don't know about bakers yeast. I would just keep the sugar up to yeast when it starts slowing down as it has nothing to feed off. You could also add a tin of golden syrup to the mix which may last longer. Naycha
If you want to use CO2 you would be best off buying a proven system.
Jagged
Yeast likes it between luke warm and pretty warm, never used this way, but i would say u need to keep ur mix at a certain temp to keep the yeast activated
