Almost three thousand cannabis plants, dried leafy material and other equipment were found by police in raids at Milmerran, south-west of Brisbane yesterday. Police said they went to several addresses in the town after information was given to Crime Stoppers. A spokeswoman said at one address police found a large quantity of plants, seedlings, seeds and equipment. She said a Millmerran man would appear in court at a later date to face charges of possession and production of dangerous drugs. Another Millmerran resident would also appear on a charge of fai…

Police were starting to win the war on drugs, Commissioner Paul White claimed yesterday. Police have shut down, or through raids forced the closure, of 20 drug houses since August last year. ``The introduction of drug premises legislation represented a major challenge and opportunity for the police force to disrupt the illict drug market,'' Mr White said. He said operations run by the drug squad had shut down drug houses known to supply not only cannabis but also amphetamine. Since the legislation's introduction: SIXTY-EIGHT first warning notices have been issued, including one to a commercial premises in Darwin; NINE second warning notices across the NT …

Do you guys know about MAPinc.org? They archive illicit drug articles and letters from newspapers all over the world, it's an amazing resource and a great way to keep up to date with the news. Unfortunately there's hardly anyone newshawking in Australia. boulder has posted a few articles here in the last few weeks (and many more I'm assuming), but if they were all posted to MAPinc.org then the whole world could be reading them and learning. MAPinc syndicates their news via XML feeds to all of the major cannabis/drug websites, and they're all sent out by mailing list to subscribers. Articles and letters inspire even more letters, particularly from overseas when they …

Hey guys, cute story i just heard on the radio bout an american bloke - mr. gonzalez or something - who just got busted for hiding 33 pounds of mj in his car. now normally this would suck a fair bit, but take it on the chin you packed out your car like a gram bag, you deal with it. now when you get busted by the US drug squad for possesion they ask you where you got it, and this lucky guy bought the car the day before at a US customs car auction with dope inside it - talk about optional extras!!! like moving into an apartment with a 100 tub dwc system already rolling!

It might be worth keeping an eye on parliment, maybe the question time, I'm not sure. It'll likely be plastered all over the news if it goes off. The Greens, and several other disgruntled honorable members are looking as though they're going to go ahead with their protest of standing and turning their backs while President Bush adresses the Australian Parliment at the request of Jackboot Johnny. Or as I've heard him affectionatly refered to here as "Mr. Sheen". I thought when I first heard of the Labor party's plan, and a few independants, and the greens; to turn their backs on the Shrub, it would peter out to nothing. But I saw an interview with Bob Green last night…

Well its bound to happen soon, genetically modified cannabis, monsanto are probably working on removing the genes for THC prodution for commercial hemp crops. So what do you guys think of GM marijuana?? Imagine it, it really could make the cannabis of the future 25x more potent than the cannabis of the past. Valuable medicinal strains could be made that have very specific cannaboid ratios, and strains that produce that THCV shit that SA sativas have. They could make strains which grow no head leaf, and only require fan leaf removal to manicure. They could probably make high yielding, no stretch indicas with full on sativa style high's. White decorative cannabis with l…

By Duncan Macfarlane 17oct03 SIX RAAF servicemen have been placed on probation after admitting to possessing and using drugs at the Amberley airforce base in Queensland. The details were confirmed last night by the head of the Amberley Air Defence Wing, Air Commodore Stewart Cameron, who said investigations were over. He said he did not know whether drug abuse at Amberley was linked to police raids at other military bases in Queensland and the Northern Territory. The airmen had not been sacked under the Australian Defence Force's zero tolerance drugs policy because they had come forward during the internal investigation, he said. "We had some people step forw…

6OZ Stoners: Charting the Rise of Australia's Premier Cannabis Community
Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
OZ Stoners, in the contemporary digital landscape, stands as a lighthouse for the Australian cannabis community. Beyond being a forum, it exemplifies adaptability, unity, and a shared passion. As it anchors and shapes cannabis discourse Down Under, it continually underscores the strength and beauty of collective endeavor.
As you engage with OZ Stoners, remember the sweat, tears, and dreams that built its legacy. Here’s to the cannabis community, the trailblazers of the past, and the promising horizons of the future. Cheers to shared stories and monumental growth ahead!
