I have seen one with external reflector, says it comes with a mogul socket. what is that?

measurng diam 90mm perfect for 90mm inline fan

length 390mm

just got to get some tube together for the ducting color

and im havin a go vert light with 2 plants

in 1200mmx1200mmx2200mm

chato does it vertical with no shades some companys make internal reflectors for vertical hanging cool tubes

Took about 4hrs to think through and fabricate at home in my living room tonight...

BTW Mate, what are the clear tubes made out of though?

I used Handiglass.

It's supposedly 99.9% UV proof so hopefully it wont discolour in the light.

Its around 1mm thick and comes in a roll 1m wide.

The best bit is it only costs around $21/meter!!!

They also had Polycarbonate rolls in the same area for the same price per meter.

I'll test these for the rest of my grow and see how they work out?

I'm running them off my centifugal pump so they are open at one end...

Everything was bought from Bunnings

jeez, be careful... is it rated for heat?

 

Most professional cool tubes are made out of symex, (a form of pyrex glass) and are about 3 - 3.5 mm thick...

yeah the cool tubes have run out apparently theres another load on there way from china. i love them there work really really well imo

I'll give em a 'supervised' run and see how they fare...

If they work half as well as Cooltubes, I shouldn't imagine they'd get too warm? I might be mistaken but hey, I love trial and error...

Most of the time, I end up spending heaps but consider it one of my hobbies...

And I usually find a solution
