Queeny,s first attempt at indoors

Recommended Posts

Hi Bob,I don't mind stressing them when there getting close to harvest but I try and keep em as healthy as possible till then, there's so many methods to growing and everyone adapts there own way that works for them, but as far as indoors goes I think what I did to that plant is more a torture than a method lol my skills need a bit of refining to say the least lol

Been seeing lots of tape on plants lately .lol.

Had my share of damage too !

What will help ,,,and i haven't seen anyone mention this ,,,,is to twist the stem in either direction at the spot you want to bend ,

I mean a decent twist ,,,or two or three twists . This will soften the juicy ( can't think of a better word ) parts of a stem.

And will usually need minimal softening ( pinching and squeezing ) after that to get a good bend. With less chance

of snapping or splitting the stem.

When you twist a little lower where the stem is less juicy ,,,getting a hard center ,,,, you can often feel the outer layer of

stem seperate from the centre layer at the Cambium layer or there abouts when you twist it.,,, this will help with bending too but

in a different way. After the two layers have seperated they can bend individually , giving less potential of splits or snaps.

Patience is needed as well ,especially at first. But after you get the knack you'll be able to do it with your eyes closed .

So if you incorporate twisting into your method ,and a bit of patience,,,you'll probably suffer less damage.

Works well for me anyway.

Hope I've explained that simply enough .
