Question

Looks like another medical cannabis scam is making the rounds on Facebook...

aka SCAMMER ALERT

“Don Medicinal Cannabis” is changing his spots and has begun to specialize in "Medical Cannabis Seeds".

DO NOT trust Don Medicinal Cannabis nor Aussie Medicinal Seed Co... as they appear to be one in the same person/company.

"the Don" has a reputation (on Facebook) for inferior products and not delivering what he promises (taking money and not sending products), he is in the medical canna business for money, zero compassion in his business plan.

If by chance these two 'companies' are not both being run by "the Don", then Aussie Medicinal Seed Co is steeling photos, and that is crap/un-ethical business practice.

The post by Aussie Medicinal Seed Co has been taken down already, got to love a screen grab (however crappy it may be)!

Be smart peoples!

just a few extra screen grabs to prove my point

Notice Don Cannabis Tincture label. In the label it can clearly be seen he is claiming low THC and HIGH CBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parents who thought they were buying high CBD medicines for their desperately ill child were NOT getting CBD at all. All they were getting was THCA and at extortionate pricing. Don does NOT have high CBD medicines. He is lucky no parent sued his sorry ass for lying to them about a medicine they were putting into their child. YOU NEVER EVER LIE TO A PARENT ABOUT MEDICINE FOR A CHILD! Some patients specifically needed CBD, not THCA, and to deceive them could result in dire medical outcomes. Further, the tinctures are not lab tested so there was no way in hell that he could have known cannabinoid ratios, particularly for CBD. Bold claim not backed up by fact.

I have had a gut full of folks defending Langdon Brown. He may have changed labels but be assured that at one time he was making false claims re CBD. Langdon Brown is a SHEISTER!!!

PS And let's not forget the thousand dollar magic butter machine and the $600 seeds he was selling. Don't get me started on his extortionate pricing

6 months ago "the don"

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/nsw/the-dealers-ripping-off-desperate-families/news-story/d57c33e525f07918c12455b43660bef9

"Mr Stevens decided to contact the Premier after getting in contact with families who feel they have been taken advantage of.

One provider of medicinal cannabis (see below).

“It’s a primary concern of families sourcing oil that they are getting what they are supposed to be, it’s a guaranteed continuance of supply and that it’s a fair price for the oil. I have seen families who have started on the oil with success yet aren’t able to continue due to shortage,” he said.

One man, whose wife was told she was going to die from a brain tumour, has turned to growing and making the cannabis oil himself after being charged “inflated dealer charges” from an online supplier.

“She needs one millilitre a day and it was costing $700 a week and still we were only getting half cannabis oil, half something else,” he told the Sunday Telegraph on the proviso he remain anonymous.

Another woman said her husband, a farmer, had tried it with good results but the quality and price on the black market varied.

“The first fellow we purchased off, the oil tasted metho-ish so it was watered down and he charged $85 a millilitre and my husband was on one mill a day, so it was unaffordable, then I got on to a legit supplier and they sent 100 mills for $150. I feel we were taken advantage of,” she said.

A FORMER financial planner is charging patients $9600 for an eight-week “cannabis cancer killing program”.

Langdon Brown, who trades under the name of The Don Medicinal Cannabis, said his Facebook-based business had “become extremely busy” since the Baird government announced trials of medicinal cannabis last December.

“I have over 600 patients,” Sydney-based Mr Brown said.

Mr Brown said he supplied contractors with seeds to grow the marijuana then organised chemists to make up the oil, which he then distributed.

“My customers are real sick, most are cancer sufferers and they come to me at the end of the line and as a last option they try cannabis oil,” he said.

Mr Brown said the cancer killing program consisted of 120 millilitres of cannabis oil over eight weeks for $9600, which he said was not overcharging. “It costs a lot to produce the cannabis oil,” he said.

Patients are then advised to take one mil a day at a cost of $80 per mil, he said.

With 600 patients on the minimum dose paying $560 a week, “The Don” has the capacity to make $336,000 a week.

BJ Futter, who works out of Newcastle and supplies up to 100 patients for free, said Mr Brown was exploiting vulnerable people.

“He is dealing with people with their lives on the line and $9000 is sick, sick exploitation,” Mr Futter said.

Mr Brown denied the allegation and provided The Sunday Telegraph with his business activity statement for October to December, 2014, which showed an income of $143,237 in sales for the three-month period.

“I’m not exploiting the vulnerable and neither is a doctor or a nurse that gets paid to work,” he said. “Every business pays costs, has taxes. I pay my contractors fairly, who also must pay for food for their families.”

80 dollars per ml.... Pure CBD is apparently 50-70k per kilo on the global market. That's pure, Pharmaceutical grade CBD, not oil, not tincture.

My only guess, is that scammers like the ones mentioned are basing the price of their product against the global value of CBD, and most likely using this information partially to justify their prices to potential customers/MMJ patients?

Nonetheless, their products have not been tested, or their efficacy documented, so we shall continue to call a spade a spade, because at the end of the day, profiting from the sick and vulnerable under the banner of compassion is one of the lowest acts an individual can involve themselves in.

Mother Earth provides us with medicine for free, all she asks in return is that we respect and take care of her.

Nobody on this site has anything to gain from putting the Don out of business.  Nobody on this site is making money out of medicinal cannabis.  Everybody on this site is extremely pro medicinal cannabis.  etc

Not true. I know for a fact several people charge those they "donate" medicinal cannabis to surreptitiously despite claiming to do this all for free.

And they attack Don as "profiteer". It's nonsense and it's dishonest.

Really, there are millions of people out there providing goods/services in exchange for money, and in the process make a living for themselves, and here you are singling out Don, the most established medicinal cannabis provider in Australia for simply running a business? What is the point of attacking people in the community like this?

Jealousy and fratricidal ill-will is how medicinal cannabis remains illegal, and stays out of the hands of millions of people in Australia.

Try to justify the money yoga all you want. End of the day it's just excuses for making money off the sick if your making money off it simple black n white no grey area. Medical cannabis is expensive because greedy people want to profit off it no other reason. And you are correct that Don isn't the only one charging similar prices. There are a lot of greedy scammers out there, Don is just one of them.

:peace: MongyMan

Given Australia is not a socialist country, and doctors, chemists, and pharmaceutical all make money providing medicinal products/serves to the sick, I don't see what the issue is.

Nonsense. If Don closed down his business, medicinal cannabis would not get more affordable. The people currently using his services would simply not be able to get it, or have to rely on less reliable and less established sources that often work with organized crime.

Is that what you want?

Seriously, the economic ignorance shown here is just scary. It's a witchhunt in here, and against the leading provider of medicinal cannabis in Australia. He needs all of your support, and instead you have become his worst and most vicious opponents.

Because the prices he charges are bloody insane without guarantee of lab testing of his products ..There are people in the community that do it for half the cost and in some cases  for free or just for a donation. To me he is just profiteering off the vulnerable, ignorant and sick dying people for a large profit.
