FIWH's adventures with lacto bacillus and fermented ferts

Recommended Posts

Yer... I bought some Mycorr off the shelf, bought some Great White. Which seems good and used Marty Crafts method .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDkOC71jlVY

I dont grow in soil, I use coco. But it works just as well, and I also save on coco each grow. I use about 1/3 of my old coco, after a good flush at the end of flowering it is ready for

use again.

Its not cheap, but if your growing it yourself then its cheap.

That's it in a nut shell , AKA Closed Loop Farming

everything you grow & need to use to grow comes from your land

& is put back into the land , this way you have allot more control over how

food / medicine is produced , in theory anyway

Dragonfly Earth Medicine are right in to the closed loop farming method

& produce some inoculants for growing our fav erb & some food stuffs for humans

Also i'm not a facebooker but if you are then have a look at the Probiotic Farmers Alliance ( started by the Grokashi guys )

not a FB fan but I'm so very tempted to join just for that

so many things to do & try

so little time ,

Been thinking about a microscope ,

cos you really need to know what's in your compost teas if you brew'em

yes , humic acid , i'd like to see & hear all about that if you give it a go

I hadn't seen that vid with elaine befor , very cool

this is the base substrate i will be using for my organic gardening. small no till garden beds. if it works as well as i hope it will be 1 50l bed per plant. straw/chook poo/straw/cow poo/straw/worm poo/straw/compost.

so far the seedlings love it. the larger seedling was neglected to the point it was yellow and near death. after a week in this bed it has really taken off.

Hey FIWH

Looking forward to watching progress

Sounds like plenty of N there

did you count on that because of the straw / high carbon

would be using so much N to break down in the mix

BTW make sure you use a mask while messin with ya mix or any mix for that matter

poo can get a lill funky & cause you probs mate
