1st grow - outdoor - Autoflowers & Regular

Recommended Posts

Nice plants mate.

Noob question, can someone pls explain to me why the plant that is budding pretty fierce is only a foot high and the other plant is 3 x the size and has zero buds? I'd like my plant to produce buds is all

The small plant was an autoflower which didnt grow under the best conditions as im a noob also haha, when i chopped it down and checked its roots they were only growing on half the side of the pot the soil on the other side became like a rock somehow. It also got bad heat stress early on in veg and its not a good idea to stress autoflowers either :(

Noob lessions learnt = add way more perlite(the bigger ones from hydro stores not the lil grains from bunnings) if ur gna use soil and dont stress her at all if possible

I've no experience personally but have read numerous times about using a layer of brickies sand or similar on top of the coco and at the bottom of the coco to prevent the fungus gnats.  Something to do with it being to rough and cutting up their bodies?  Wouldn't hurt to put a layer on top now.  No other suggestions sorry.

Regular need drenches. You need to kill the adult and larvae to kill the cycle. If your in pots you can remove the top inch of soil. I had a pot blow over that was infested with the bastards. Lost the top inch or so of dirt and low and behold they too went with the soil into the bin. Never to return. But as people have said damp soil is the cause.
