1st grow - outdoor - Autoflowers & Regular

Recommended Posts

UPDATE

So shes roughly week 7-8 of flowering and Ive decided to start flushing the soil for the next 2 weeks because of the annoying caterpillars and spidermites. She will probly be almost ready in about 2 weeks and I dont want to risk losing much yield to these pests waiting for it to be fully ripe.

Will post again before day before harvest and again once all trimmed and weighed out :o finish line is near!

Really hard to tell, maybe 2-3???  Reckon if you put her back on nutes for another 2-3 weeks by the look of her, she should fill out a lot more and maybe get up to 3-4 oz, and be a much better smoke.  Comes down to whether you can deal with the pest problems I suppose, but she just doesn't look that close to finished going on those pics.

Kinda being pressured by family because of the smell and fear of being caught lol

Im hoping with the good weather over the past few days she fills out bit more in the next couple days :(

Varies from strain to strain, but generally towards the end there will be an increase in weight as the pistils retract into the calyx's, and you can get extra flowering from 2nd and 3rd browning offs.  Just looking at the last pics she definitely looks like she has more filling out left in her.  How much increase you would get is impossible to predict though.  The bigger benefit you will get by letting her reach full maturity is higher potency, and a more complete and better rounded stone, this will also effectively increase yield by meaning you have to consume less for a better result.  When I get tempted to pull early I remind myself of all the time and effort I've already put in, and think how that would all be wasted by not getting them to their best first.

Having said that, I'm with Lou, family relations are much more important than canna, and if that was ever to change for me the medical benefits of weed would no longer be enough to keep me using it.

UPDATE
Just went and took some pictures shows the mite and caterpillar damage and some more bud shots

Overall id like the high to be more of the heady energetic type rather than very sedative.

Weather forecast doesnt look good for next 5-7 days, will it be worth keepin up even in bad conditions?

I agree with u Hashy bout thinking bout how long ive had it and potential increase in yield that it may give to leave it.

Based on these new pics and possible bad weather does it change anything or do you guys still suggest 2-3 more weeks?

Sorry for being so indecisive/questioning everything, just tryna make the best decision possible with all things considered!

Dipel sprayed on it, picked off like 30 caterpillers easy but still more kept appearing.

Lets hope this is hte last poison i have to spray on this plant!!

it's only been 26 days since you've sprayed them (?)... what is the withholding period for Dipel (I don't know)

you'd want to ensure that there is no trace of the dipel on/in the plant (is it systemic or just 'topical'?)

for someone with a serious mite/gnat/critter damage your buds actually look quite decent (sugar leaves not so much) - I don't see any webs on the buds (always a good sign)

the longer you postpone harvesting the heavier the buds will get (but you knew that)

nothing stopping you from taking a branch now (well that dipel is a bit off-putting but) do an overnight quick-dry so you can check out the high.. you may find it is not quite right or maybe perfect... go from there

my $0.02

carry on
