Can you OD on weed?

On Friday I smoke a joint of almost SOLID weed (no tobacco) and I threw up and could hardly walk. Is it possible to OD or even die from weed?

you can OD on anything. BUT AND A BIG BUT, THE amount you would have to smoke in a period of 15 mins is like 20kg. Know thats a big spliff...... WHOA

There is scientific research done on the lethality of weed, I can't find the document but I did a thesis paper on it for uni.

 

A bloke back in 1994 was doing this research on Hindu Kushan buds in Cali and Holland, the LD50, which is the amount of weed that will cause a lethal dose in 50% of people is 15 pounds in 15 minutes....

 

Therefore clinically impossible, I'll try dig up the reference if anyone is keen.

i was reading one of my many high times magazines all old school ones there was a guy in there that smoked a couple of pounds if as few days he just sat in a chair comatised with a doctor on stand by

No you can't OD from cannabis use, but here is a msds (material safety data sheet) for THC. It maybe of some interest.

So it takes 700 joints in a minute to OD... What if you were to take the bud from 1000 joints and turn it into hash oil... Then vape it all into a big volcano bag... I'm kind of lost on how much that would be, but I can't imagine that you could inhale that much in a minute... Even the purest form of THC vapor probobly can't cause a fatal OD...
