Canna was made illegal because of its use in industry, not because it is a dangerous drug.

It is possible.. do some research and you to will find out the truth

so is it possible or not? and if u are refering to the study done on monkeys where they pumped them full of weed smoke they died becouse of lack of air and the dumb asses went on to say that they died becouse weed killed too many of their braincells

Could you please elaborate on that more puka?

Peace MongyMan

Hi Mongy, Here is a good article http://www.ecofibre....au/hemp-history not a scietific paper but has some good info I particularly refer to this paragraph,

"It is a little known fact but when the United Nations Single Convention on Drugs 1961, of which almost all nations are a signatory, specifically omits the use of Cannabis Hemp for industrial purposes from any ban whatsoever. Yet, thanks to relentless government sponsored “marketing”, the word Cannabis is synonymous with drugs even today."

I urge peple who are not aware of the truth behind cannabis' demise to do some research. there is plenty of infomation out there, unfortunately, much of it is anecdotal. However, obviously the people behind the lies are the powerbrokers, therefore, information can sometimes be hard to come by.. conversly, There is plenty of contempary information regarding the medical and industrial benifits of cannabis compared to similar products (ie, fuel, oil, fibre, paper, medicine etc,)

Nymphetamine, I am unsure of what you are asking me. I don't know the study you are talking about, but it doesn't surprise me.. . have read an article about the effects of cannabis on rats life expectancy,But, alas I can not find it... The gist of it though was, the amount of cannabis that must be used to bring on death was such a large quantity that it is improbable that anyone would ever be able to smoke that amount in the required time frame to cause death, I wish i could remember actual figures but it was a huge amount....

Hope this helps.. Wish I had timeto give you some better answers. I find though, it is better to do the research yourself rather than rely on 3rd party info.. Firstly, if you research and find articles yourself you have ownership of the info, meaning that you are more likely to retain the information. Secondly, If you find articles yourself, you can judge for yourself weather or not the info is biased or not...

EDIT* just fixing some errors

"HAHAHAHAHA....I wish lmfao! So not POSSIBLE! This would be a great topic for MYTHBUSTERS hehe "

Where she was refering to my comment "Canna was made illegal because of its use in industry, not because it is a dangerous drug."

Hope this clears things up for you.

DIdn't read every page on this thread, but:

The estimated LD-50 (lethal threshold) for marijuana, established in 1988 by the DEA’s appropriate fact-finder, is 1:20,000 or 1:40,000.

Quote:

At present it is estimated that marijuana’s LD-50 is around1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response.

(cannabis-science.com/content/DEA%20Ruling%20Judge%20Young.pdf)

Wikipedia says for THC alone (obviously there's other cannabinoids involved) "THC has an LD50 (dose killing half of the research subjects) value of 1270 mg/kg (male rats) and 730 mg/kg (female rats) administered orally dissolved in sesame oil.[26] The LD50 value for rats by inhalation of THC is 42 mg/kg of body weight".

There is a list of the LD50 values for other animals including dogs, i.e. they actually dosed dogs with enough THC to kill half of them.

Now that is a fuck tonne of THC to administer to any creature.
