Can you OD on weed?

On Friday I smoke a joint of almost SOLID weed (no tobacco) and I threw up and could hardly walk. Is it possible to OD or even die from weed?

A lot of good information here. I did see that fella on YouTube who teaches you how not to get caught. He was ex fbi agent or something. He said you can't get stoned by eating raw cannabis material. It has to be heated by flame or by cooking to activate it in a way that gets you high. Watermelon says the same thing (decarboxylating). Anyways would be interesting if it were true. You could eat your stash if you were about to get busted. But not get sick.

 

I smoked one cone at an origin party once and i was sick for hours. It was the catylyst for getting me into growing. I have never been sick off my own gear because I don't put any fucked chemicals in it. That's my thoery for greenout. It's not the cannabis, but flyspray or other chemicals.

Yeh cerb I did. But this was different. Only a couple of beers before I had the cone. And it was only 1 small cone and i was laid to waste in a manner that I have never been before. And I have green'd out before. Usualy at party's. I was sick at another party. Was drinking jagger and beer all night. Had a joint before i left. Then five minutes down the road was blowin chunks out the window.

 

So i do know what your saying. I smoke and drink all the time now with my homegrown. I've not had this problem yet.

Wikipedia says for THC alone (obviously there's other cannabinoids involved) "THC has an LD₅₀ (dose killing half of the research subjects) value of 1270 mg/kg (male rats) and 730 mg/kg (female rats) administered orally dissolved in sesame oil.^[26] The LD₅₀ value for rats by inhalation of THC is 42 mg/kg of body weight".

 

There is a list of the LD50 values for other animals including dogs, i.e. they actually dosed dogs with enough THC to kill half of them.

 

Now that is a fuck tonne of THC to administer to any creature.

i def reckon it's possible to od on weed. happened to me before. that's what greening out is, right? not a pleasant feeling, that's for sure. eating weed is powerful too.

I've greened out a number of times, Not to comfortable in a room full of strangers, but I actually love the feeling if I am in a comfortable situation..

I thought it was - Grass before beer you're in the clear, beer before grass you're on your arse
