Just thought i would thank all those who gave me advice. I pulled my girl up a week or so ago. No one wanted to guess from the pics what i would yield. So i ended up with 20 oz dried. Fabulous. However you were all right about harvest time, which was the end of march. I did pull a little early as i got some flowers, only a couple. So i strangled my other half when i found out why. My partner put a new power board in the room. It had a bloody red glowing light on it. For days i could not figure why they were stretching a litttle. I know now. Never mind 20 oz off one plant makes me happy. So thankyou all.

Hi All I am starting a set-up and wanted your expert advice.I have seen some set-ups and wanted to know, which is the easiest and cheapest(to run and buy).I am looking at getting the system where it drip feeds into pots, like the Dunny setup around here,(sorry, complete NEWBIE). Or going for the aeroponic system which i have been told is the best system and the ones that all the growers(Legal) are raving about.Which one do/would you use and why?.I can get the aeroponic system that is 1m x 2.4m for around $350.Is that a good deal and will aeroponic produce a bigger yield?. Thanks from a Newbie

The common way to do a lids for bubblers is to have a solid pice of wood, or just the bucket lid with a hole cut out that the net pot sits in. Now I have this little problem in that I got buckets without lids. I'm not too keen on using timber for moisture reasons, plus the possiblity of leaching chems. What I thought was just run a couple of rods through the net pot just under the top rim that rest on the sides of the bubbling bucket and cover the top with black plastic. With this I can also check inside the bubbler if I want without having to pull the plant up.....just peel back the plastic. any thoughts?

OK, let me tell you something about 20L buckets, THEY ARE BLOODY BIG! too big to comfortably fit in my little grow cupboard in fact. I decided to go with 11L square buckets and 100mm net pots, one per bucket. reckon that will be big enough? PS - had trouble locating a small water pump and float valve today, any suggestions on where these might be available? (hydro store was out of stock)

i know this sounds a little silly, but i setup, watering system kinda like toms, but my drippers wont drip, all they do is suck air and make my resouvoir bubble, i got a feeling i havent done it right, ok, i got a resouvior, with some line running around the cupboard an back to resouvoir" just had a second look at toms an i didnt put in the small line, it is the one size right round "13mm" i think, that part works, the water goes around an comes back to resouvoir, but when i punched in a dripper, it sucked air in? an bubbles the resouvoir,"also on a second look at tomo's, i didnt put in the preesure relief line, i felt like such a spastic, as id done most of it yesterday…

im wondering with a hydro setup, how often do u feed them nutes, and how often do u feed the water, and for how long should u do it for?, example, do i feed them nutes all day everyday or for a few hours a day , and when i feed them water do i water them all day or for a few hours a day, im not really sure , my babies are only young an wont be getting nutes yet but, should i be running water till then,, im using a perl/vermic mix, by the way how lightweight is that shit"perlite", i acccidently knocked the bag off the shelf at the shop an it nearly floated,, any advice on the running of hydro ? cheers

I have a home made bubbler and I'm wondering if the plants have a good root system, do i have to keep feeding them from the top? or will they be fine just getting nute from the roots?

well, ive done it, it took most of the arvo, but ive knocked up a hydro set up,,i have abandoned previous plans of hand watering, and this is how im gonna learn to grow indoors, i still like soil,an handwatering, but for my mullies, i think this might be easier in the long run an will be easier to work the nutes, i set up a resouvoir kinda like toms, with a line that runs around my cupboard with drippers, that will feed into the pots an plants then there is a tray under them ,that will empty back into resouvoir, i decided to let the tray empty back into resovoir cuz i didnt want floods and i couldnt really fit big trays in the cupboard, the trays are kinda like kitty litter…

I've been giving serious consideration to building a DWC system for the next indoor grow.... I've had a look around, and there are a few questions I wonder if anyone here can answer. Firstly, if all else is equal like light and temp, strain and so on, then is there any appreciable difference in yeild, potency or otherwise between growing with DWC and growing in a well managed, sterile medium (be it perlite, grow rocks, or anything else like that that goes in a pot...) with an airpump in the res? I mean, if the point of dwc is that you get more oxygen because the roots are in a highly oxygenated solution, wouldn't that also apply if you watered with a highly oxygenated…
