Stealth SCROG box

ok im planning to build a stealth grow box in an old dresser so i guess the dimensions would be about 2fw x 2fd x 4fh. it will be set up for SCROG growing in soil. so here are the questions: 1)i was planning to have two 100w hps lights mounted on top with holes cut through for the light to cut back on heat, but after reading for a while on overgrow im starting to think about putting in some of those energy saving bulbs that screw into normal light sockets. Should i stick to hps or move to fluros? or a combination of both, and where should i have my fluros positioned for best effect? above or below the screen? 2)because i am growing from seed, not clones i am…

Hi Guys, Im still reading up before my first grow, been learning for a few weeks now. Im still undecided about the method I will use. I want one that does not require too much maintenance and thought the bubbler garden looked OK. Does anyone use bubbler buckets and how good do they work? Thanks heaps

Elefunk just PM'd me this link to a hydro shop in NSW, I phoned them and ordered two Son-T-Agro at $32 each plus $7 postage and $6.40 for insurance (10% of value), all up that comes to $77.40, I was going to make a trip to the shop to buy two new ones next week, at $56 each. The seedlings seem to be going rather well, there 2 weeks old at this point seeds are bag seeds. I dunno what strain the plants are. Plant Date : 4 March 2003 Plant Age : about 2 weeks

Hey all,if anyone is lookin for a cheap hydro setup around the gold coast I think I've found one for ya.Listen to this large 6 pot setup 2x 400w lamps 2x water pumps,nutrients,perlite,clay balls white sheet plastic,ph tester,extra pots,timers,power board,small and large grommets,T intersections $400 ono. Hey all, my house water is 7.2ph-7.8ph depending on the time of the day. I need to drop it so i went out and bought a digital pen to help me :-) and i was wondering what u would think of using Hydrocloric Acid to lower the Ph? I tested a bach of 10litres and it took like 4 drops to bring it to 6.3ph. Do u think it will hurt my plants?

Hey guys For my third grow ive gone for headstone clones (from spc, would reccomend to any1) Now the plants i have are about 2ft tall and are extremely healthy. In fact there the most healthyest plants i have ever seen. This is all good. But these 2 ft plants are in huge pots with even HUGER root systems. Now the reason why i worry is that these pots are larger then the ones i used last grow and the plants were twice the size. The only differance between grows have been. The 1st grow i used an unknown strain The 1st grow was with ozmocoat potting mix.......This one is with CANNA COCO. Now the thing is these plants seem to slow growth to almost zip when t…

What I'm trying to do is keep a few different mothers, up to 6 or so in a small space. Maybe even in a rubber storage container like my cloning tub I'm hoping to use really small containers for the bubblers, like the large size round margerine tubs. Just have an airstone in each with the plant sitting in the lid. The plants would be small enough that they could be self supporting on the lid, no net cup or medium. Only need to take 3-4 cuttings at a time. They would all be fed through a Pepsi bottle style res. I'd need to give the roots regular hair cuts, and keep water and weak nutes up to the system and hopefully thats it, and I can have all the mothers I need …

Hey,my first question is has anyone had success growing without C02 when air temps are as high as 32 degrees celsius but the res/nutes temp is kept at a constant 22 degrees.......Cause thats what afoaf has and everything appears fine............. SEcondly,this weird thing is happening with GH 3 PART ,after filling a 50 litre res with nutes a ppm of 1200 is got,but checked an hour later and its down to 800 and the pump hasnt even been switched on..WTF...any ideas ?????

i have one plant 5 weeks old,grown from seed and is now 8inches tall, i hope its a female.Just like to know when to top or prune, during the veg or the flowering stage,and at what height should the mj. be.Will this also increase the yield? Your advice appreciated.

A while back I asked a guy about a nute meter, and he sold me a TDScan4. I've just started to use it now and it measures in mS, whatever that is, the instructions give no explanation. The range is noted from 0 to 19.90. My tap water comes out at 0.5mS and half strength Canna nute mix is coming out at 1.6mS. The instructions on the Canna bottle say to aim for between 1.8 & 2.7mS. This is fine, except most of the literature around talks in ppm, not mS. Does anyone know how they relate to each other?

I have a pump that does 38L/m and at the moment it is only bubbling one 20L bucket. Originally I crimped the spare output lines and the water was bubbling really violently, and I thought this may damage the roots, so I left an outlet blowing free which results in less bubbles in the bucket. The pic below shows the bubbles produced in each situation. Am I right to worry about bubbling too violently when my pump is only powering one or two buckets or am I worrying about nothing?

Hello oz growers I've just begun the process of sorting out what I need for my dwc grow... check out the attached image on how I am planning to set it up. It's VERY simple, but that's because there's not a greal deal to consider on such a small system... I do want to get it perfect however. I'll be using 5 gal (roughly 19L) buckets with 6" net pots... a typical setup really. The aim here is to grow 4 - 5 foot tall plants, I think these buckets should provide a great space for roots. As far as yield goes ... well, that's not really important to me, for a first grow I think I'd simply be happy for the plants to not die in the ass on me! Hmm what else? I'm still decid…
