I have 6 plants unsexed! These plants are now about 2 to 2.5 feet, and have growth in the middle, meaning there getting alittle bushier... I want to sex them and loose no time veging them! I want to cut from each one and sex the cutting when rooted and ready! How do i know when to take cuttings from the orginal plants i spoke of and where would be better the new middle growth or the top? Thank you, I hope that made sense! :)

i've heard so many different stories. from "any light at all, anytime, during 12hr lights-out and they're totally f*****d" to "no probs, an occasional flash of light is ok" and even " you can go in there with a torch in an emergency" this from a grow shop owner. so please!! what's the royal scam?

just wondering what most people's tap water is like for hydro growing my tap water is .9 on my TDS meter which i think is 900ppm, I grow at around 2.2 - 2.4 which is only 1.3 - 1.5 real nutes the rest is crud in the water, The thing is my last crop leaves a salty taste in my mouth, so its probaly not flushed properly using the .9 tap water, I'll have plenty rain water for the next crop thanks to the recent rains, Rain water comes up at 0.1 on my TDS meter, which should make the next crop better.

Hello every1,Just wondering how long people veg 4 n flower 4?I was reading that a strain Red devil needed min of 3 weeks veg and 9-10 weeks flower(Doesnt sound right?)So whats best say 3-4 weeks veg n 8 weeks flower,Say the strain is Red devil pure indicia,Will the plants grow much after turning them?How big do you want plants before turning if wanting great yield?I no leaving em 2 long is no good as you dont get much from the bottoms its only time wasting yeah?Id think 24/7 4 veg would b best what do youse think?Thanks n good luck 2 all

G'day, Is it possible to keeps clones alive and healthy under flouros for approx. 8 weeks while my other plants are budding under the hps. Or should I buy another hps for vegging my clones? Thanks dwyndorf

I was wondering if you guys have an emergency response policy in place? I think it is very important to have a system implemeted in case of such situations. eg: fire,flood,electrical faults,cops etc Perhaps we could all pool our ideas and come up with some good points we could add to a checklist for , in case of such situations arising we are a lil prepared. I for starters think we could have a cheap video surveilance system in place...they are available from Strathfield Car Radio for 90$, and allow you to optically monitor your room remotely. I also think a smoke sensor alarm is important. DG

Hi all, Being looking a doing a aeroponic grow to see what all the hype is about. Have usually grown in ebb/flow or bubbler bucket system. The aeroponic system will very similar to the following link:- http://www.ki7xh.com/aeroponics.htm The only differance will be that their will be 10 pipes laid flat together 1.5m long, with holes cut every 150mm to suit a SOG style of grow. Should end up with a 100 site grow table 1.5m x 1.5m - lighting will consist of a 1000watt hps air cooled light. - and resi tank will be 100 litres. Any adive growing with aeroponics over ebb/flow would be greatful. Regards Jack

just after some info on ventilation and fans . i,ve positioned my outake fan at the top of my cupboard but im wondering where i should be putting the intake fan . does the fan have to be blowing directly onto the plants or as long as there is fresh air getting inside

i was tolded by someone who is kcnowledgible, that you can add baked beans to your nutrigents, and pack them around the stem in the last few week and it adds bulk to the overall vigoure of the vegetable matter and associated bi-product.Does anyong youse this tecnece?He said the protein is convergeted into sugars and it add a lot in over all THC glands.I always get bad and poor results, I hav emy room at 124 farenheifgt. but the oscillations of the fan seem to be out of sink with the duckthing, causeing negative bio feedbak from the anti gravity distortian module in my ballash.

I want to change the way I grow. I want 9 smaller plants under 1000watt HPS instead of 2 medium. Should I keep a mother solely for the purpose of getting the clones. I have read the you must periodically root prune the mother is this correct or will product such as Rhizotonic from canna do the same job? OR Should I just clone off the 9 smaller ones each time.I tend to cut the tops out of them anyway to create vigorous lower growth so I will have the cuttings anyway but is it advisable to take clones of a plant that has only been vegging for 1 week? Would appreciate your thoughts and advice.Thanx

Only just started using microscope method to determine bud maturity. I have a slight amber on the end of the ball section but should I wait for the entire area to go amber or is it ready as soon as it starts to show any amber? Would appreciate any help on this matter Thanks

I was just wondering about getting rid of pollen from my grow cupboard, the first crop had a fair bit of pollen drop the 2nd i think i got in time, How long can pollen stay viable in a grow room, ?and how can you make sure its all gone.?
