G'day all' I have been checking The Overgrow FAQ's and I am wondering if the lighting shop has sold me all the necessary parts to assemble the light ?. I have the 70W Hps light with integral starter, ballast and bulb holder. In some of the photos I have seen it shows a capacitor. Is this item needed for my setup to work. Any help much appreciated.

Whilst checking the pictures from my grow I came across this one, you will notice that the plants on the left are more growth than those on the right. The left hand globe has done two grows and the other has done 3, I will need to consider replacing the older one after this grow as the difference in yield will be more than the value of the globe if I use it for another grow. This is also one of the reasons I don't recommend buying, or using second hand globes unless you are sure of their history.

Hey i'm gonna start growing in a draw 35cm/40cm/30cm and was wondering what i should buy in the way of lighting.. i've read a few grow guides and they mentioned mecury vapour, hps n other weird things but i jus don't have a clue! i just want something i can plug into the wall. Pete

Hi all I am about to start my cabnet grow ,and I am using compact fluros as it my first indoor grow my area is 2ft x 1ft 8" I bought 2x24 watt day light at 6400k and 1 18 watt warm white at 2700k but my questurn is what do 6400k or 2700k mean please help cheer's

Hi guy's an gals does any one no which compact fluros are best for your money ? Ive just been window shopping and there was five diffirant types . so I need some help on them , as I am about to start my grow sone . my area size is about ht 2ft - wth 1ft'8 cheer's

Hi people hows it goin? Anyway today i went to the hydrostore and he was a really nice guy but he told me that it is a wate of time to grow with a 150W HPS. He said they yeild would be very poor. I only want to grow 2-3 plants and have a yield of about 2-3 ounces. That would last me a long time. So has anyone flowered with a 150W HPS and got good results?

live goes to the live nuteral goes to the nuteral do I need to ground the earth to the reflector? I havent made a reflector yet and im dying to test the globe. Will I screw it if I power it up like this or should I ground it to a piece of metal? thanks geek

If you had a glass heat shield you could get your light a lot closer to your plants without burning them up. Would the closeness of the light outweigh the light lost through reflection? just a thought.

hi i went into a local hydro shop the other day and i asked the guy for a 250watt swithable ballast and he told me that if i got a MH ballast i would be able to use a HPS in it aswell? is it true? i dont think so but i just wont to get a second opinion thanx ClosetCultivator

Hi im a new grower and im just wondering if i want to start some clones what would be better a 250watt MH or a bunch of fluorescent? I would only use the light tilll flowering the i would switch to a 400watt HPS thanx

hi all i was just looking around a lighting site and i saw some lights called compact fluorescents? can you use em for indoor grows? or would it be better to pay the extra bit and get a proper fluoro setup for clones? thanx
