Whilst checking the pictures from my grow I came across this one, you will notice that the plants on the left are more growth than those on the right. The left hand globe has done two grows and the other has done 3, I will need to consider replacing the older one after this grow as the difference in yield will be more than the value of the globe if I use it for another grow. This is also one of the reasons I don't recommend buying, or using second hand globes unless you are sure of their history.

call me easily-impressed, but that is an absolutely amazing discovery!

 

our lights have gone 3 grows already.....they're metal halide lights....should I be concerned, do u think?

It depends on how soon you want to splash out on new globes, Stonedas would know more about the life expectancy of an MH.
