hps wiring

Recommended Posts

I'm not an electronic expert, but I do have basic electronic knowledge and I wouldnt suggest grounding the earth wire through the reflector at all, I'm pretty sure the bottom pin on all standard power connections is ground...? I would do as Brainstorm said and seek a profesional or things could go bad...

hey,

If you are going to go ahead and do what your doing at least goto a electric distributor and ask for the skematics of the ballast. Its available online if you search for it. They are alot cheaper to buy this way but you need to find someone who can make a ballast box etc aswell. Good luck but id advise getting some sparky help if possible.

It's all done. I have a ballast and needed to wire the globe to the ballast. It wasnt a normal power connector.

The bottom pin on the connector is a round pin not like the other two. I'm guessing the earth goes no where. Cause on the socket for the bulb it has

A and N connectors. None for the Ground (earth)

I wired it up and its a beauty. Just designing the box now.

Going to be 17" square and about 36" high.

Need to test a carbon scrubber firstly. I want to remove as much as the smell as possible.
