Hi there. I've brought my bbxww ladies inside, and they're doing well, just starting to put up new vegetative shoots. One plants in a perlite/expanded clay/growool media, and the other was just transferred into a bubbler yesterday. I've had a spider mite problem outdoors this year, can't do much to stop em, so consequently I've noticed the very beginnings of small infestations. Only a few, and only on a couple of leaves on each plant. I've used white oil in outdoor gardening to control this pest, and I've had pretty good results, but indoors is a different matter, yes? Normally the 400w hps is kept around 30cm away, but as I applied white oil I raised the lamp anoth…

I have made a posting that I copy/paste from Marijuana.com, I dunno if it's useful to post here, but I am sure there will be growers with mouldy buds and they probably will end up asking about it, this link is the post I posted at Cannabis Research Fourm.... it's more about the "Health side" of mouldy buds. Rather than how to treat plants that got moulds. Mould FAQ Cheers, Urbanhog

Hi all, Tom has asked me to post on a trial I am about to do using "green lacewings" for bug control in my garden. Some of you I'm sure are quite familar with our friend the spider mite, I have on previous occassions used predator mites as a means to rid these with good success. I had then sourced them thru my local hydro shop was around $45 per 5000. problem I had with them is that they were only viable for that crop, and all died when subsequent harvest. I still have mite probs but control early with neem oil . I have a mate who has ordered some lacewings and has far to many so is sending excess to me. the larvae of this bug is the killer he feeds on aphids mainly …

I've got this strange fungus coming up in both my normal and recreational soil plants.... Its bright yellow, and starts as a small group of button heads, around 5 cm round, and then the individuals in the grow on to about 5-7.5 cm high and have a 3-4cm cap, bright yellow with a sort if wrinkled, peeling area on the very centre of the top.... The things have infested a couple of potplants and a tiny part of the herb garden.... Anyone know either what this fungus is, or where I could get an identification page to look through? I tried google and some other search engines, no luck.... Help! I don't want either me or my kitties poisoned by fungus spores! Not to mention…

So i have just started my first serious grow with 4 clones from SPC (Thanks Stonededas your the man) 1 misty, 1 big bud (which i accidently snapped the stem) and 2 ak47xc99. My 2 Ak47xc99 both have BLUE algae growing on the rock wool and on one of them it is growing a bit on the bottom of the stem.... now i am pretty damn worried cause as i understand blue algae is poisonous? ATM they are only about 10cm tall and havn't really started growing much, they are in coco fibre in styrofoam cups and the rockwool is about 90% burried in the rockwool should i have covered the rockwool totally over with coco fibre? The algae was actually on the clones when i got them... Wa…

below is a pic of one of my clones. Its showing some real weird deformed leaves that are a much lighter shade of green. I reckon its genetic because I remember the plant it was cloned from showed strange growth similar to this early on. Out of the five females I got from verry berry no.2 seed four seem to be very similar and then I've got this one mutant. I'll be sure to keep a clone until I trial it, maybe it'll produce super powerful mutant smoke.

I have a few plants in the process of water flushing, prior to harvest, about 4 days away. Once they are out, i need to kill off all nasties in there, before placing new plants in there. The room is about 4x4m, i still have a few more plants in there, they are 4 weeks from harvest. The room is really being overtaken with aphids. 70% of leaves are a pale color due to excessive attacks. A Few weeks ago I used 2 bottles of bug off pyrethium spray, which did not work as well as usual, possably due to excessive bug numbers. I have 10 sticky aphid traps placed all round the room, but they are not doing the job that well either. Obviously, i have let them get out of control (we…

Recently my outdoor garden has been attacked by many insects  , red and two-spotted spider mite, whitefly, aphids, and most of them were easy to deal with plant by plant, (except the mites, had to use a sulphur spray for them, and they're still hard to kill! ) Anyway, I've noticed that a waxy white scale like creatures have been attacking not only the tree fern and citrus, but attached to the stems of my ladies as well! About 2-3 ml around, their coating is soft and waxy and gets larger as the insect does, when you rub them off they have a bright red/orange underside and they squash easily..... Anyone know this pest? Anyone successfully treated them? I notic…

I have just moved one of my plants from my 250mh and put it under a 400hps. Now the thing is, I believe that the plants that are growing under the 250mh are growing quicker than the plant under the 400. There on the same nute. Only difference is light and the 1 plant is in a bubbler setup. the others are in a PVC tube setup running a flood and drain system The plants under the 250 are growing an inch a day, the plant under the 400 is growing about an inch every 2 days. Any help guys? Should i go buy some more 250's and keep veggin under them?
