Has anyone here had experience growing Psychotria viridis in Melbourne? Also any experience growing Caapi in Melbourne? I have a three metre glasshouse with good soil, and am hoping to dig a trench in the glasshouse, fill it with plenty of compost, keep the glass whitewashed, humidified, and see how it goes. I am interested in reading the experiences of others who may have grown Psychotria in Melbourne, with and without glasshouse. I'm also considering growing Caapi, but I think that might be a difficult task, being a tropical climber.

So, I got some Hawaiian Baby Wood-Rose Seeds I'm going to attempt to grow from seed. (because I like the look of the flowers.) I soaked 10 seeds for 24hrs in some water. As you can see from the pics 6 swelled up & 4 started opening. Good sign. So I planted 6 in my little planter box with the good 4 in the middle. The other 4 I planted together in a pot, we'll see how they go. Apparently getting them to sprout above surface is the hard part, as the seeds can rot easily. I read better to use paper towel. People use paper towel to germ canna to but Ive only ever gone straight to soil. After theyre above ground should be easy street. (apparently) I dont like to post like …

Hi there all this seems to be a rather tricky one but I feel its time to leave my body and cross over , I have a mate who would like to experience such a thing as well but this time I'd like to do it myself , from the reading I've done and with a lot of other forums I'm getting second hand info which I believe to be wrong , first I want to find the right tree /without killing some poor tree , I do not believe I'm that special so can you use the leaves or broken branches or dose it have to be the bark , second has anyone tried it with the grass that contains the goodness , I think I've got a extraction method down ... Really doesn't seem that hard . I'd love some advice fr…

the first time I tried salvia was amazing and I have recently wanted to do it again, as it is now illegal here I was wondering if anyone knows of any sites to buy it from that have a higher success rate of getting it through to Australia, or if anyone has a plant and could send me a curling? I'd pay for the shipping of course....

Does anyone know where this plant is now? Been looking all over perth and WA and cant seem to find any info except that its illegal and the rest. Ive seen that there are a few places that stock the dried herb but you need a legal permit to obtain it??? Only other thing that is close to the plant is sida cordifolia but would love to find some real ma huang seeds.
