General Cultivation Q&A

Hey all, I have Kiwi Green seeds from MJOZ I placed 4 of them in a ceramic cup, filled with tap water. they all floated. I covered the cup so it was dark, and placed in a cool area. 24 hours later I inspected them, they were still floating and nothing had seemed to of changed. I then gave each one a slight nudge, and they all sankl to the bottum. Righto then.... 48 hours after first placing them in, I inspect again. They are still at the bottum and one seed has appeared to of split open.. First sign of germination? I am a bit worried that its been 48 hours and only one seed has split open. G'day all Been flat out like a lizard drinkin doing all sorts of different stuff recently which has fucked up my growing schedule. Just started some old White Rhino beans I got from SPC ages ago. Germed them all using paper towel method. 11 out of 13 popped. Lost one when transplanted to pot (died off after a week or so) which left me with 10. The ten were in tiny pots filled with seed raising mix under fluoro's for a week or so. These were originally going to be vegged and flowered until approx week 4 or 5 then put outside to finish under the Autumn sun. Not to sure about this now but I'll see how things pan out - depends on how many females I get. …

Greetings OzStoners, Well, I've been out of the folks place for about a month now, and now I've got my own house and all I can start of my first grow. The grow will be for personal comsuption only (well, maybe my brother can have some) so I don't need pounds and pounds of the stuff. I've gone out and picked up 4 x 20-litre pots, I plan to purchase 2 x 400hpw lights and grow 2 lots of 2 in a couple of cupboards. The reason for growing 2 sets in 2 cupboards instead of consolidating into a room is that I want to grow a male and female together and harvest alot of seeds incase I want to regrow in the future. Hi, I thought I would start cloning myself, only i have no idea on how to go about it. From making a box to rockwool. I got no idea. I want to clone my White Rhinos which are 1 week into the veg stage. What do i need to get to start out and when do i start cloning and how long does it take? I'm going to keep reading other posts on this subject to fill me in more about it, but though i would ask straight out as maybe my white rhinos are hard to clone or something. Thanks, Kel.

Hiya, I was thinking about the lowryders and i starting wondering since they are smaller plants with alot smaller yeild,would they need less light energy to flower since their so small so like,instead of doing say, a 3/4 plant grow with a 600wt,doing sayy..20/30 lowryders and still getting the normal amount off all the ryders?? it might sounds like much but i figure they can grow in large mcdonalds coke cups so you could fit afew close together in a meters space and the yeild would be the same as a 4 normal plant grow,cept that they done in 8 weeks easy to manage and mainly eaiser to hide. also iv heard hybred lowryder strains are around?? does anyone know what ones t…

the cutting has shown signs of growth since yesterday but today when i checked on the cuttings this 1 had a root coming out the base of the plant where the stem is and then went back down at the corner of the cube never seen anything like that, is it normal or just a freak of nature that im gonna have to keep an eye on as it now has an exposed root system?
