General Cultivation Q&A

hey every1...i got this plant off a friend of mine to look after while he is on holidays..im not sure how old it is, or what strain it is but i am pretty sure that growing it in that tiny pot and with no air getting in because of the bucket thing he has over the top isnt going to do the plant too well...can some1 tell me what is wrong with the plant? the bottom leaves are starting to turn yellow and droop down..the friend told me only to leave the lid off for 10 mins a day..to explain the "bucket thing" further.. it is a clear plactic cylinder that is sealed off at one end..he has to of them which he tapes together.. the opening is about 20cm wide and it is around 50cms t…

Hi all, I got some fantastic bud the other week, there were about 20 seeds, so I thought "why not?" I have seed from seed direct and some others ready for move to tas, not going to waste them, all I did was put them in an old cement tub full of garden soil, put 7 beans in, 5days later 7 little kids poked their head up!, glad I kept the rest! now here comes the question, the one bean I pick as best, size/colour(dark dark dark!) and shape, rounded end, I planted in centre of tub was, the first up,the most rapid opening and here is the odd one! the water leaves are in a 3leaf clover shape, and the first swords are also triple's b4 anyone asks, yes weed seed! . Ok well my first attempt failed miserably. So this time I am going along the paper towel method. Basically what I have done is get a little saucer, place 2 layers of paper towel on it, soak them both, then place 2 seeds on the towel, followed by 2 more layers of soaked towel. I then got another identical sacuer and placed it upside down on top of the other to create darkness and increase humidity. Here are a few pics. Anyone have any suggestions? Oh by the way I am trying to germinate kiwi green from mjoz.

I have just installed a auto irrigation system in my micro stealth box. I have looked at a fertigation system but far to expensive for my 20 small girls, so I have tapped into the mains and ran standard garden drippers into each pot then got a digital timer from mitre 10 set it to water for 5 min every 48 hours seems to deliver the right amount of water only problem no nutes. Anyone got any ideas powder sprinkled on top of soil possibly? what? how much? when? Thanks peace..

Hey, hows it goin oz stoners? I just had a few questions about lights. I am very new to mj growing but i am very interested in it and i have been reading these forums religiously for the past few weeks. One of my questions is how do the lights actually help the plant grow? I know they are very important but i think that if i understood how they actually helped i could set up a better grow box and hence get a better grow. I have seen the compact fluros in bunnings an i was wondering if i would be able to use them for my whole grow, Instead of buying HID lights. Cheers

Hey all, just afew questios hopefully someone can help with. im just setting up a small cupboard about 1.5m wide, 1m deep an about 2.5m high. im going to be using a 600w Hps and was just wondering how much air id need to flow through there? Are the fans more to keeps the tempretures down or for circulaton? I guessing both yeah? So what size fans would you guys reckomend i use for intake/exhuast and circulation? Im just aliitle worried the rooms too small and will heat up too much.... What temps should i be aiming for? Thanks in andvance. Peace
