General Cultivation Q&A

Tried sprouting a few Dinafem strains( seeds) purchased recently from Seedsman. 5 Moby dick and 3 critical. Two and a half weeks later, nothing. They all sunk to bottom of glass of water after one day. As soon as they sunk I put them in moist paper towel and sandwich bag on a heatmat indoors, and still no sprouts showing after 17 days. Later, I started 3 Aussie Canna (Afghan Kush) strains using exactly the same method about a week ago, and all 3 sprouted - unfortunately lost them to the cold in a leaking outdoor greenhouse. Hey guys. I have 3 plants going and have determined 2 are female,but struggling with the 3rd. It hasn't grown as well/tall as the other 2, but is short and will be bushy. Might be too early to determine for sure, but I was trying to work it out as I will be away for 4 days. If it was a male/hermy, when do they normally open up? I should be ok to leave them in the early stages hey? They are about 3 or 4 weeks old from seed. I can see pistils on the top section of the plant, but confused with another area. It just dawned on me that about 5 years ago, I grew some Regs and Autos together that I didn't pay much attention to and I'm reasonably confident they got cross pollinated. I'm not sure if a Reg male got crossed over Auto females, or visa versa. Because for one, they were all smallish plants, and I paid bugger all attention to what happened there with them. I just harvested seed and salvaged what I could for smoko at the time. So the next question is fairly obvious. What do you reckon I've got, will they be Regs, Auto's or a combination of both? I can't really do a test grow due to grow schedule and limited growing space to find out for now. So, what do youse thin…

Hey crew After ready through some info on this forum and seeing some people’s inside grows (particularly PapaSmurfz ) since I’ve had a few going in large pots with less veg time With coco run to waste I was cringing having to fill the 100L tank every 5 days or so ... could probably tweak it slightly by buying a seconds timer but usually 1min twice a day is how it runs auto and there isn’t too much excess runoff .. Anyway , I ordered a 9kg bag of megacrop from Pops Garden and just started using it as per instructions .. yet to tell if it’s gonna be amazing but when I worked out it can do about 6600 litres per $160 bag I’m hopeful compared to laying out $$ on canna . …

I usually get the big blue bag of ausperl P500 perlite. I mix with coco but wanting to try either 100% perlite or mix with vermiculite. There is a bag of chillagoe perlite on sale at the shop too. Hi guys. I am wanting a few tips and some leads on different products. First off, I have a 1.2x1.2x2 tent coming with a 600w hps cooltube and a cfl for starters. I was going to go led, but will look at that for next grow. My initial idea was to try dwc, 2 plants in a 50 litre tub. I would like some leads on a good locally available sterile agent like z7. Other idea, maybe easier for a newb, is a dirt style grow. Basically I have about 600 dollaroos to set up with. Will be getting the all-star hybrid pack from sss. Thanks for any info.
