January 22, 2006 POLICE in a southern Queensland region are offering rewards of up to $1,000 to people who dob in drug dealers and users. Operation Dial-in-a-Druggie, an initiative in the Toowoomba district, west of Brisbane, will run until January 29. It is designed to crack down on the production, manufacturing and distribution of illicit drugs in the region. Superintendent Tony Wright today urged people to call police to help them prosecute drug offenders and reduce drug use.
