Cool Tubes

Recommended Posts

Guest niall
As far as I've been able to discover up till now the diameter needs to be around 150mm.

:)

Heh, yeah thinking about it last night in bed and I realised 40-90mm is way too small ^_^

Eigenschaft Glass produces tubes of 150mm diamater, 3mm wall thickness:

8821500-30 150 ± 2.0 3.0 ± 0.5 1 11 / 5

But that's 5kg for 1 unit. Not sure about the length, I'd assume it's 1-1.5m. What length would you guys be after, say 40cm? Probably end up costing $50-100 per piece, shipping would be a bitch.

A reflector doesn't have an electrical side to it , the sockets that conect to it do , theorieticly you could get just about any reflector and add an aussie light socket to it the exception would be if people bought moulded kits that had it all attached already , inwich case you COULD run it fine but you will need a transformer NOT JUST A POWER ADAPTER

I know this is an old thread but I've decided I must have one of these cool tubes (actually I want 2 of them)

The ones I've seen on ebay are 50mm x 125mm

If anyone knows somebody in Australia selling these NOT on ebay please let me know. I really don't want to go through ebay.

worst comes to worse I'll get a couple of bake a rounds from the US and make it myself, that will be cheaper anyway :peace:

PS - We should start bombarding hydro stores for requests for these. even send them email with a link to what they are on ebay (link below) so maybe they will start to stock them. :peace:
