Gloomshade

The price quoted to me from my local guy for replacement globes was $180.00....

Yea, hey that's a lot....BUT.......They can last for years and it's said that they will not lose more than 85% of output (May be more as in higher longer life)

I know someone will say ...."Yea that's what the salesman said"....lol .

In a few years time with a light meter in my hand I'll let you know.....

and then take to my local bloke a couple of Gangster slaps..................

Proof of the pudding my friends...........

prob a good idea to look at hight / space , light output & how much light does a plant need

Quick Guide - Lux Levels for Optimal Cannabis Growth

< 15,000 lux - sparse or "stretchy" growth - plant isn't getting enough light
15,000 - 50,000 lux - good amount of light for healthy vegetative growth
45,000 - 65,000 lux - optimal amount of light for cannabis plants in the flowering (budding) stage
70,000 - 85,000 lux - a lot of light, some strains do okay at this light level, but some plants lose their top leaves early under this light intensity, especially plants that are not resistant to heat/light (like many indicas)
> 85,000 lux - at this light intensity, you've hit the plant's "saturation point" which means your plant can't use all the light (be careful of light bleaching!)

I think some of us have to much light me included

only recently discovered this by buying a lux meter & checking

just an opinion

I'm pretty happy using 315 (340odd) watts per m2. Not sure how many lux the light is spreading accross that m2. But i reckon it would be right where its meant to be.

Not hav'in a go mate

but reflection plays a big part as well in increasing light

The only way to know is with some sorta meter

not say'in you should go out & spend money ,

if your happy , your happy & that's the main thing

I've just been having a look at all parts of my grow

& discovered with the meter i was giving the plants

way to much light ( if you believe the lux chart above )

& noticed a diff once i corrected that , can also help with

when lamps need a change

again mate just my thoughts
