The End of Oz Stoners?

Recommended Posts

As a christian I despise those churchies that claim Christianity and then feel they have a right to sit in judgement of others. They should re-read the book carefully!!! It tells them that those that sit in judgement of others will be judged by their own measure and the two things God really hates are hypocrites and liars. Christians are told NOT to judge others, only to judge themselves daily and repent of anything that is not loving toward others. Repent means stop doing it not just be sorry about it. Since when has it ever been loving to shove your beliefs down another persons throat?

I hear churchies constantly say to others "What would Jesus do?"

My answer is "He made the whip himself!!!"

Jesus sat down with malice aforthought and plaited a whip, he then walked into the Temple and took to the Money Changes (Bankers), the Pharisees (Political/Religious leaders of the day) and the Sadducees (lawyers) with the whip. I believe we should probably follow the example he set.

Anyone want to meet in Canberra next week on the steps of the parliament for whip making/cracking classes and is there anyone who is a expert that can teach us? Please.

Mmm, God Botherers . . . religion has been so bastardised . . . the things done in the name of 'God' are appalling . . . one dictionary meaning for 'christian' is . . . showing a loving concern for others; humane . . . I don't see many of 'em who chest thump from the pulpit being truly humane nor showing ANY concern for others . . . how is taking away our freedom of choice showing concern? ;)

The porn lobby and some in the internet industry are trying to scuttle the Government’s plan to clean up the internet for our kids.

They're trying to hide behind our kids! :peace:

Hopefully the ISP's . . . iNet in particular, will prove that such an idea is just totally unworkable

You are 100% right Dragon that is standing in judgement not showning concern and may they reap a thousandfold what they sow!

God (fill in your own belief) gave EACH of US free will and we each answer to NO OTHER but our creator.

I filter my own internet usage and NOBODY else has a right to tell me what I can and cannot read/view/believe/understand. I am totally in charge of my own choices and actions and am totally responsible for my own actions at all times and do not need a nannystate government or any lobby group sticking their nose into my business. If my choices and actions impact negatively on society or any third party I am out of line and deserve to face the courts to answer. If my actions don't offend, I should be granted my privacy to do as I choose.

After I finish with these bloody drug laws, (Hopefully by Christmas, it now appears, update coming SOON), I might go after the bigots(hypocrites and liars) just for the sport of it!!!

Mmm, if you want any help . . . as you'd be setting yourself a HUGE target there . . . hypocrisy and lies seem to be part and parcel of everyday life in this world [unfortunately for us honest bunnies who can't abide the judgemental abject hypocrites and liars that are shoving their opinions in our faces on a daily basis because THEY are, for some unknown reason, allowed to get away with it! ;) ] . . . where would you start? :peace:

[and I do so hope that your update is GOOD news . . . ;) ]

are you into kiddy porn? do you want your children exposed to video clips of animal torture, x-rated porn, etc. not to even mention the terrorist recruitment websites? no? then support the internet filter...if you dont support the filter you openly agree that child porn is a-ok, you want all children exposed to video clips of animal torture, people fucking and terrorists blowing shit up in the name of some god ;)

thats pretty much the argument for this filter and there isnt a whole lot that can be done to disagree with some of the measures they are taking. blocking access to child porn, terrorist websites, etc. is a good thing, but what is rarely mentioned is the fact that the police already have a task force (i believe its in qld) that hunts down people accessing those kinds of things. in other words we already have a filter that is backed up by law enforcement and the sickos accessing that kind of stuff get punished accordingly.

iinet has also landed head first in boiling water over the past couple of weeks. apparently they never bothered to inform their customers about the recording studios whinging about them downloading pirated movies and when they actually sent out letters saying you have beena naughty boy or girl, they never followed through with the termination clause for breaking their rules. sounds like a perfect isp to me, sticking it to a richer corporation and all, but i so wouldnt sign up with them and if i were already with them i would consider changing isp until the court case has been settled :peace: chances are those companies will ask for logs of everyone thats a customer to prove who was downloading what and god knows what information that could contain. lets just hope a judge knocks that back on the basis of internet banking records or something ;)

There is not a filter at present just a cahing proxy server that can list all pages a user has been to. That list is compared to known paed sites etc and the police in the country of origin of the images are notified via interpol as are the countries of all those who view the site. Each major ISP has a proxy for the purpose so the filter is reduntant for enforcing the valid ban on kiddyporn. The filter will just prompt the deviants to go further underground achieving nothing.

Image filters that could acurately decide what is what DO NOT EXIST.

If the filter uses word filters it will also filter most government departments, medical studies journals and anti drug sites if the word "cannabis" was used. If the word was "Green" or "weed" half the internet might disappear!!! What word could the rockspiders choose to use to describe their crap and really stuff the filter, Army navy airforce. or maybe "eschelon" we would simply chase our tails.

If the filter is done on IP address then dynamicDNS would bypass it in seconds.

So absolutely unworkable and pointless!!

So the filter is being promoted by the ignorant to prove and promote their level of ignorance. Filters don't work and really can't work. Any one that thinks otherwise simply DOES NOT KNOW computing limitations.

The only real answer is to allow the .xxx domain name(something governments have repeatedly denied and blocked) and force all porn/adult content sites to those domains by legislation like the .com.au is restricted to australian registered companies then the filter is easy and quick and effective.

just *.xxx and it is finished no adult content for everyone that does not want it.

Or is that just too logical to get up as a concept.

I don't even think the terrorist/kiddie porn sites are a good argument to apply internet filters. I mean don't we want to find these people? I woulda thought it would be better for these types of scum to out themselves through their internet activities and therefore make it easier for the authorities to identify them.

Task Force Argos is the mob in Queensland . . . :peace:

Sixty Minutes Interview 2007

They do a bloody good job [i know from personal experience - need to be a special type of copper to work in this area, not your everyday smurf] . . . if they were as well funded and staffed as, for example, the Drug Squad/s, they'd be able to do an EVEN better job . . . so how about the government fully funding a bigger and better Task Force rather than waste money on a useless bloody filter that'll never amount to anything but a bloody infringement of our freedom of choice and never achieve anything but slow down the internet? ;)
