It's been 8 weeks now since I ventured into the world of hydro... I got a few emails from people here who wanted to see my 240 gallon setup. So here are some pics, they're not great but I haven't rtfm on my new camera yet. I'm open (and desire) your comments and suggestions to make anything better. I started out with quartz-halogen shop lights (900 watts total), but just yesterday received my 1000 watt HID and HPS lights (now pictured) I got them through Access Discounts, $282 (U.S.) for a dual ballast, swichable, reflector hood and one each of the lamps. ANother thing I forgot to ask is when do I start flushing Do i start at day 31 flowering? Or am I better off waiting for a certain amount of pistils to go brown. How do you guys decide when to start flushing? Cheers

hey all i would like to know if there is a way of getting rid of the smell is there some kind of home made filter i can make that will not cost a lot of $$$$$$ or dose ant have a home made one that help me with bong on aussie ozmade

hey all, i just built my self a little box for growing the size is 600-600-1200mm ia am going to put 2 computer fans in it 1 for out 1 for in i picked up an 400w hsp and the ballest for $80 s/h but the globe is new well that is what thay told me i got it from a pawn shop, now that i have just about every thing well i think i do i have heard of ppl useing a good potting mix with a mixture of other things in and what can i feed them just for a few 2 weeks until i can get some proper stuff as my seeds have come up allready any and all help would be grate bong on aussie ozmade

Sup ppls first off i wanna say Merry xmas to all my new fellow ganja friends.. on this web site.. and not i have questions on my plant.. ive just turned my lights to 12/12 and ive noticed little pistals all ready showing.. this is the 2nd week on flowering and them pisltals are going brown already like they are old.. is this a problem or am i stressing for no reason.. pls note this is not all over the plants just on a few stems.. much respect Ele

Sup ppls... i just recently turned down my lights from 24 on to 12 night/day.. and i was wondring how long till i see sum major budding sensations... ive got 2 pistals breaking out on the mature stems already so it seems to have just started.. a friend told me that i need to keep the lights off for at least 36 hours to give them a kick into flowering is this tru.. my ganja friends..?

Ppls ive had my plants under the 400 for about 2 1/2 months now and its showing signs of buddin.. with 2 pistils branching out from the v in the stem.. is it ok to keep it under the 24hr light for at least another month so my smaller plants will grow.. im asking only becuase i have one grow room.. and the clones r only about 2 weeks old.. an i dont want to turn the light to 12.. and introduce flowering to my babies.. i havent started the flowering nutes.. do u think i should mix 1 small cap.. with the vega when changing water this week..? will it effect my plant..? much respect and big upz to all who did well in the cup.. and how do i go about being invited to the next on…

I was told by more than a few folks that I should (or may want to) trim off the very top new growth from my plants, which are currently about 12-15 inches tall. The theory behind this being that the plant will "bush out" and produce more (albeit smaller) buds as opposed to a single giant cola. Should I be running for the scissors? Also, how do I know when my plants are mature and I can begin cloning and reducing the light cycle to 12 hours to start budding? Hey, my afghani#1 are 9 days into flowering, Is it ok to remove fan leaves to allow light for the lower parts of the plant? due to me putting 5 plants in my grow box, light is not penetrating below the top canopy. thanks for the help.
