Straight people my age, kill their pain with perscription drugs, in some cases they are addicted for decades. They argue that the actual smoking of the Cannabis, defeats the purpose of justifying it as a medicinal substance! If you smoked bongs & pipes in the 70's & 80's to kill the pain, any chronic stoner knows that if you made it to the 90's you naturally progressed to the rolling of the spliffs. So long as you exercise and eat well the "smoking" of medicinal herbs is not here nor there, or is it? ........ Is smoking Cannabis (Bush not Hydro) a small price to pay for a natural anti-toxant, anti-inflammatory, anti-biotic, muscle relaxant, etc etc etc?

Gone to Pot: The Association Between Cannabis and Psychosis By Asif R. Malik, MD, and Deepak Cyril D'Souza, MD Email this page to a friend Print this article April 2006, Vol. XXIII, No. 4 Cannabis, or marijuana, has been consumed by humans for centuries and remains one of the most widely and commonly used illicit substances. Recently, there has been renewed interest in the association between cannabis use and psychosis. The purpose of this article is to review the evidence supporting and refuting the association between cannabis exposure and psychotic disorders, including schizophrenia. As far back as 1845, Dr. Jacques- Joseph Moreau de Tours described psychotic p…

thanks to chato for finding this one. Sorry if its old news, but its the first time I've seen it. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...2501729_pf.html Study Finds No Cancer-Marijuana Connection By Marc Kaufman Washington Post Staff Writer Friday, May 26, 2006; A03 The largest study of its kind has unexpectedly concluded that smoking marijuana, even regularly and heavily, does not lead to lung cancer. The new findings "were against our expectations," said Donald Tashkin of the University of California at Los Angeles, a pulmonologist who has studied marijuana for 30 years. "We hypothesized that there would be a positive association between marijuana use…

my opinion is very young people should not touch anything until they are mature enough to know and understand what they are doing. i believe dope affects young people health because there are so many of them that have some form of mental illness. I know some of them experiment with other drugs too but i do know of some young people being affected only because they were regular smokers.

High has anyone had the experience that if you have a quantity of smoke, so called friends seem to come around regularly hoping for a cone but they rarely seem to offer you a smoke from their own stash. It pays not to be generous doesn't it ??

Hi everyone I am new to Oz Stoners have been smoking now for about 30yrs, wondering if other people here have been smoking for a long time. I had a couple of breaks when I was pregnant, didn't touch dope then or booze. Even when I have had surgery I have had a cone within a few hours from getting out of bed. Smoking dope is better for you than smoking cigs, it doesn't make you feel sick

I have been smoking for years, since i have neck and back pain i believe that a smoke helps you relax and you don't seem to take as many pills. If my friend did not smoke dope when he had severe pain with his cancer he would have to use more Morphine, he found he didn't get as sick when he had a smoke plus he was with it mentally . He always had his smoke on the table ready for a toke, even inviting the district nurses to have a pipe. They were good they didn't judge him

I just came accross in my research an interesting company in the UK called GW Pharmaceuticals they have a product which has been approved for use by Health Cannada as of April 2005 for use on patients with 'central neuropathic pain' the product is what they call a "Oromucosal Spray" which i am assuming is a puffer that uses a liquid not a powder as i believe is the case with asthma. the product contains THC and CBD in a ratio of one to one. so far that is all the information i have found i forwarded an email to the company asking them to send me information on the product. the product has many other uses that it is currently going through approval for. This Same c…
