I have found a parasite attaching itself to the leaves,thought it was scale at first but these little suckers have a firm grip,they are grey in colour shaped like a tear and they are hard,any ideas as to what it is? EDIT: moved from Dr Livingston bongonaussie

i got aphids on my mother, and the wont just go away, what is a organic mixture i can make up that will get rid of em. also how long you guys rekon till these bad boys kill this thing. its looking ok, but i dont want to wait to long and then he dies . thanks

I just watered my seedlings that live in soil - they have recently been displaying some uniform yellowing - and I saw a whole heap of little white buggers float out the top! Since I'm a beginner with soil am I correct to assume that this is white fly? Look sorta similar to some I got on my clones last year. Since they are still in the soil and not yet on the leaves - can I still use neem? Will that kill all the ones hatching in the soil? Jimbo

Thought I'd post a pic of the healthiest, plumpest White-flies I ever saw. The Best Tomato bush I ever grew, black russian varriety was completely destroyed in the end by a relentless wave of the buggers. We've had the most incredible dry weather here for a long, long time. I relaise that can be said for the whole country, so perhaps it's the same everywhere? I used yellow sticky traps, which quickly bogged due to dead white-flie corpses, and resorted to using alternative applications of rogor and carbryl, every few days! Hey everyone I have just discovered tiny insects in my waste run off tank ( I use run to waste system).They are on the surface of the waste nutes, sometimes crawling sometimes skipping across the surface. They are only about 1 mm long. Does any one know what they are..how they got there...and best treatment. Also is there any chance they have damaged the plant to a large degree. hey all, been awhile sense my last post, been on the long haul outdoors. anyways, just noticed big spider mite investion in my room, one plant is mainly affected(thinking it was a lack nutrients i let it be) and other two are showing small webs starting, but all the leaves are fine. so have they smashed the first plant and have only just arrived at the other two??? my concern is i'm ready to harvest in a week and a half, so no sprays of any kind, should i just harvest,clean and kill as i go,and smoke what little fuckers are left behind, i should i bin the plants??? once dry, will the mites still bread in storage bags?? any info or thoughts would be sweet!!!

How can i stop little 1cm bright green grasshoppers from eating parts of my plants? They only seem to be eating the large leaves so far. They wernt around several weeks ago so im guessin they will go away when it gets colder & flowering starts.

hey gusy i found a product called robocan its a timed release of pyrethiums i was wondering if any1 has any advice? has any1 used em im thinking appropriate for white flys? or will the get tolerant to it they can be set on 5 min or 7 min release cheers guys bil

Has anyone had root aphids? I'm not positive if they are root aphids or fungus gnats, but I need to figure it out fast cause their multiplying faster than rabbits. Anyone had experience with either?

hi guys and girls, I have discovered some small white/yellow insects that seem to me like thrips. They are all around my clone tray and underneath the heat mat but as far as the ye can tell - not yet on the clones. They are crawling and 'hopping' like fleas which suggests to me that they are prepupae moving into adults? The clones are in RW and have only just shown roots and are still delicate so I am unsure whether to dose them with my trusty Pyrethrum? Any suggestions? I was taking a pic but batteries dead - maybe in a few hours... Jimbo

I have a powdery mildew problem that i have been spraying with the help from a lot of your recommendations. But the weather right now in my area is bad for mold and many growers are having problems due to high humidity. I'm days from harvesting, and the powdery mildew is coming on strong. I sprayed where i could trying to avoid buds. Can the mildew continue after i chop down? What should i do? How should i handle my situation. I was gonna pick some down tonight, but i noticed some mildew nearing the buds.

Milk fungicide: One part of full-cream milk to 10 parts water. Mix well and it's ready to use, cover every part of the plant, both sides of the leaves and the stems. Take care, too much milk in the mixture can promote sooty mould.
