Found this site. Kept finding these black insects on one of my plants that had a bad spider mite infestation. Squashed a few, then the light came on so I googled lady beetles and found this. The black bugs I were squashing were black lady beetles. Left them alone and with two sprays of neem oil and help from the black ladies the infestation has 98% gone. http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?guide=Ladybug

I have made this tutorial after receiving advice from this forum, i have changed the recipe slightly and it has removed the bugs from my patch, I had little brown grasshoppers that were eating the large shade leaves and i wanted to get rid of them before my crop turned to flower... Hey all, For a while now i couldnt figure out why some of my plants were torn out of the ground and squashed, last night i went out side to do my nightly watering and i found 3 canetoads sitting in my pots, had destroyed 3 of my prized plants, is there a simple solution to getting rid of these vermin (other than my usual sandwedge treatment). I dont really want to have to construct a wire mesh cage for my plants, as its not really in my guerilla growing nature. Any sort of home remedies would be helpful or just anything...please help my little babies....

When i emptied out the 30 litre pot my male was in, i found about 5 white 'grubs' in the soil. There were probably many more, but they were about 5-10cm down right under where the plant was. Any ideas of what they could be ? They were probably about 6mm thick and about 25mm long, they were white with little legs and had a dark 'ass-end' haha. If they are a pest I may have to have a treatment in the future , and I still have a female alive that may be infested with the same bugs. Help anyone ?

Gday fellas, Just looking through the threads and wanted to know if anyone has a remedy fo Termites or white ants or to slow them up? I have read that putting a pice of pine down next to each plantmay do the trick but would like to know if anyone else has tried this or something else? Thanks

i have thrips can any one tell me if they will harm my crop i am in 4 week of flower i have sprayed them with neem oil but doesnt seem to be getting rid of them little buggers.i tryed pyrethem spray nocked shit out of my plants in grow they were about 3 weeks old...cheers aussiegrow

Hi all, had some problems recently with a few bugs. At first i found some small midgy like bugs at the soil level but on investigation I figured its gotta be scarib fly so Have used "neemtech insecticidal pottasium soap" (anyone used it?) and another time i found some webs so figuring its spidermite. Used dead red for that and seems to work. Any suggestions guys on anything else? Think I drowned the last one.....my BAD!! Gotta go will check in later with maybe some more thoughts....

PLEASE! I need your help! I have discovered yet ANOTHER problem in my grow room. Does anyone have any ideas? I have been told this is a nitrogen deficiency which I have attempted to correct but have no knowledge of specific products available in AU. I was also told it was a trace elements deficiency and have applied Richgro Trace Elements with no results. I was also told it was a blight, but this was by someone who only had my description, but no piccies. hey ppl, sorry its my first serious grow so experiencing problems for the first time. just last night i realised a bug flying around in my grow room, i only noticed 1 but could be 2 of them in there, the bug is very small and mainly hangs around at the base of the plant the bug sort of resembles a midge. im not 100% sure of how many are in there or the breed of bug are there any safe pesticides i can use as a precaution? i am mid way through flowering so i assume i would be a little more limited to what i could use? thanks fellas

THE PROBLEM I have fungus gnats. They are killing the plants that keep my spouse and I in the medication we need to survive and the battle is pissing me off. I could really use help from a person who has successfully killed the fuckers. A person who has killed off a serious infestation using organic methods...not a person who is guessing or passing on second hand information. COMPLICATIONS We cannot use spays to do this. It was suggested that I purchase 'neem oil' and as I was at a garden centre earlier today I found 'Eco-neem' which doesn't actually say anything about neem oil. Same as?

I seen a few of these weird bugs on my plant 2day. i tryed to take a pic but u cant tell the bug from the stem cos the bug is almost the same color as the stem just a little lighter green, bout 5mm - 10mm long, and there a oval shape. I cant pick them off there to fast whenever i get close they bolt around the stem or go into small places. does anyone know what these might be?
