I have just started growing indoors having grown outdoors for a few years(in another country). I found a good natural plant to fertelize is Comfrey, yep thats right, good for burns, sore joints and fertilizer!!! You can grow em round your plants as they do not get big and like a little shade. Then simply remove and place the mature bigger leaves around the stem of the plant to decompose(mulching) or leave em to rot in a container with water and use later. They dont need any attention, just a little water now and then. Very good companion plant.....always had good results without using any chemical nutrients.

How do you guys flush at the end of your grow? I read 2 weeks straight water is best, but how do I know when to start the 2 weeks if i dont know how long the strain takes?? do i start when the trichromes go milky or still clear?? also I brought this stuff thats a flush, that is you add it a couple of days before the harvest and it apparently gives it a flavor in my case strawberry, but it takes ALL the nutrients out of the plant, anyone give me feedback on these flushes??

Tell us everything you do with regards to nutes for your grow. What brand you use, what concentrations, do you mix to a formula or moniter with a meter, do you use bud additives or foliar sprays, do you use a heater, how often you mix a fresh batch, how you flush, what kind of system you use them in. basically, everything you do in relation to NUTES! hoping to get a good database of information here so I can link to this thread from the FAQ.

Been using SB for a while now and have found that it gives you rock hard golfball sized nuggets. My question is how do I get foot long buds that are rock hard using superbud? Other than not using SB One method I have heard is to put it in after 3 weeks of flowering.....

I use bio, which is kind of a step back from organics. Anyone who knows Tick on overgrow would be aware that in the right organic soil mix you only need tap water and a few foliar feeds per ggrow to produce awesome clean buds. I am getting more and more tempted to go back to this method (it's how I began) but for 6 - 8 plants this is a lot of soil mix to deal with and be throwing out in an apartment on the second floor. I used to only grow a couple of little plants like this. Any of the OS crew grow this way? Any thoughts. I like the idea of doing away with the res and pumps, etc. Just thinking. Vazganic

howdy, I'm wondering if anyone has used scoria before?? I seen it at bunnings for $8 a bag, so its way cheaper than clay balls, and seems to have the same kind of properties. Anyway I will be testing it my bubblers next grow just to see if it works as good unless some-one has had any bad experiences.

Hey guys, I just moved my rooted plants to my aero system, and wanted to know if you guys could give me some advice on how many times i should water a day and for how long. The plants are in net pots, rooted in rockwool plugs (pots filled with hydroton). The plants will have a 400watt Mh for light (I have a 430 hps for bloom)and the aero machine mistes nutrients at the roots. There are 6 360degree mistres that completley airate the grow chamber with nutrients. After the nutrients are sprayed at the bottom of the net pots then it is recirculatd back to the reservoir. I was thinking of misting for 15 minutes every 3-4hrs is this to long to wait for watering??

My seedlings are getting a bit big and the roots are starting to leave their homes, I cant put them in my grow room for 2 weeks till harvest is over. I have a 1/2 finished system i'll use as a bubbler and veg in this for now. I have no spare water heater and the water is prettty cold. Just wanting to know if the cold nute temps will do any damage?. Thanks.
