My little babies are 2 weeks into their veg cycle and I'm using a rockwool slabs / dripper system. The 1000x400 slab is still top wrapped in the packaging, with only the 100mm square cut on top where the 4" rooted cube was placed. My problem is that i have a layer of mould across the top of the 4" cube (this can't be covered because of the drippers) Is this mould a problem?? The plants are pumped, with no signs of any probs, but it just don't look right?!

Has anyone had any experience with this stuff? I started my seeds off with the good old water and then paper towel method and got 100% success rate with 8 seeds on 2 different occasions. Trouble is, when I have gone to the second stage of germinatipon and put the seeds in the medium to sprout things have taken a turn for the worse. On the first go I placed 4 seeds in individual 'Party Cups' from the bottle shop with cling wrap on top etc etc. 1 Sprouted but shortly died off and 3 did nothing. The second attemp I decided to do the same but instead of cling wrap I used a propagation house. Non of the 4 came out to play. I have grown before but not over here in A…

gday all just wondering what nutrients everyone uses. as im using a local made brand and im getting ripped off. it costs me 80 dollars for 5 litres not to bad. but i have to use 15 ml per litre when mixing nutes up. that 5 litres does not last very long haha. i have been looking at the grow diaries of a fair few people. but not really sure if they use additives along with those nutes. only additives i use are root excelerator from h and g i i think it is, also floralicious, 016 stabilized oxygen im wondering do i really need this it is very expensive 170 dollars for 5 litres, also using multi zyme from house and garden all that for vegging. for flowering the same as…

Hey everyone just wanted to get some basic advice on E.C levels, im using coco as a medium along with canna classic A & B, im about 3 weeks in veg and i had some cal and mag deficiency. i went and bought some calimagic. before i was feeding them 0.6ec and the calimagic directions are 1ml/pl when i put my nutrients with the calimagic it jumps up to 1.1 ec.. my question is do i lower my nutrient to sustain the 0.6ec or do does it not matter? on the bottle it says use with regular feeding dosage. thanks for any help...

Hey, it's been a while since I posted a topic but I want to share what i've learnt about soil and how to improve soil. Soil: What comes to mind when you think of soil, do you think of the earths crust or simply dirt? or do you think of what it's made of and what it can be used for?...Well the soil is full of life and organisms but it's not all entirely organic matter. Treat your soil like a living object like a chain of life underground and you'll be rewarded with amazing healthy lush plants. Understanding the soil, the soil types, nutrients, etc..is half of the trick to growing healthy plants the other half relies on knowing the plants you're growing and it's requireme…

Hey guys I have currently got a potted female big bang thats roughly 2m tall and 1m wide at its widest, its in a large pot that is about 6 galon. The pot has very good drainage. It has been flowering for about 2 weeks and i think i will harvest in about 6 weeks. Here is the instructions and amounts: http://www.hydrogarden.com/content/images/blog/23/12/main/Biobizz%20Grow%20Chart.pdf Now, i only water the plant roughly every 2-3 days atm, i am confused how much of this stuff to add, it says how much to add per liter, but how much water do…

After doing much reading and research about growing organically, I came across this company - http://www.greenlifesoil.com.au They have all the good stuff like bio char, dried kelp, fish hydrolysate, Diatomaceous Earth, zeolite and all the standard minerals. They also have some nice mixes which I am going to try and blend with perlite and zeolite.

Hey Canna growers, Whats the best alternative to boost? I have gone through a small bottle in no time and i am not prepared to pay gold for this stuff. I found it on ebay a while back for 30 bucks for 250ml and i knew i should have stocked up but i didnt and it seems to have gone back up. Now I cant fully say if it is effective tbh and worth the gold you pay for it but i am now wanting a cheaper alternative. i currently use monsta bud as an additive and have heaps of it so would getting a replacement for boost be too much?
