Cannabis Troubleshooting

G'day all, hope you can help. I have 4 w/widow plants 3 weeks into flowering. The grow room size is 1m x 1m, 400 hps, 2 x 250 fans. 4 x 20" pots all with there own watering rose, and clay beads. Poly in a cirlre with 4 holes ea. When in vegi I was feeding the girls with miracle grow @ 18cf. When I turned them to flower I raised the cf slowly over the first week tot the 24. End of second week I raised the cf to 28. Now the problem. At the end of the second week I noticed some of the fan leaves were tuning yellow from the bottom up. hi ozstoners, finished a nice gro a while ago of g13 & white rhino. In the crop I have a few immature seeds, nothing major just a few. I don't mind a couple of seeds - even in some of the best Jamaican sensi you come across the occasional seed. I wonder how this happened as I did not find any male heads on any of the plants. Someone advised that I should completely scrub my gro room with bleach to kill any pollen that may be in the room. Bit late for that as I already have another gro on the go & I am not gonna scrub the pots with bleach while the plants are growing obviously. After checking all the forums and posts on these "small black flies" i am still a little confused about Scarid Fly. I thought the tiny black dudes flying about my plants were Thrips or something other than Scarid Fly as they did not look like the picture of the Fungus Gnat. So i used sticky strips to control their numbers which worked well as the plants looked very healthy. Once i pulled the pot sock out, there were very tiny maggots living in the bottom of the pot. The roots looked healthy and white...Does anybody have any more info and pics about these critters? thanks

Recently i left a mate to deal with my gorw as i had to work and i think eh might have put a tad too mcuh dynamic lifter on ! The leaves have brown tinge to them!!!!!!!! would i be correct ! Believe me i'm not a happy chappy ! :angry:

Went over to a mates 2 weeks ago and saw that some of his plants had white leaves...went back today and saw that shitloads of em had white leaves... I did some research on it and theres two main theories as to why this has happened...the lights are too close and the light is bleaching the chlorophyl out of the leaves... The second is its a micronutrient lockout and the plants need to be flushed big time to to allow them to recover.... The problem seems to be with the leaves at the top 6 inches of the buds... my 4799 mother has started flowering. bloody bitch she is. I had it on about 20/4. None of the other mums have this problem. Does it have an autoflower tendency or did I stress it into flowering? (mite sprays & forgetting to water sometimes) got it on 24 hour light now, hopefully it'll come good.

can you used scarid fly drench in soil? reading the bottle it appears to be intended for hydroponic systems. I was thinking water the plants with the solution and flush out 24 hours later

Ok guys i have flys in my grow...... there very small with clear wings... black body.... The funny thing is they seem to reside in the expanded clay.... when i move the clay they come out..... there seems to be approx 20 in the room atm..... Should i be worried?

Well, leave your plants alone for a few days at the end and budrot can be your reward. I've had to chop down two main colas to make sure the rest don't get anything. It's these damn cold nights, even 24/7 venting can't help in some cases. I think because one of the colas had been shaded after developing nicely, (it ended up pushed under another one when moving the bubbler plant) it gave the mould a chance. The other bud which was infected had the rot in the mid section of the cola, where bud density was high and yet due to further development above it became shaded too heavily too. My babies have been flowering for a few weeks and have a few weeks to go. Thing i am unsure about is: the very tips of the top buds' hairs have started turning red and looking ready but the rest of the buds 'hairs are still white and the buds are still definately growing. Is there any reason for this? the plants are healthy so there are no problems. This is only my second crop indoors so i am not sure if this is a common thing or not. Any good advice from you good people out there? Could my lights be a little too close to the buds?

After a few cycles of having pesky spidermites cause havoc in my growroom and damage my plants, i decided to do a little research. I had read a lot about companion planting so i decided to give it a try. I planted two bulbs of garlic in each pot(50l) with my babies and kept a close eye on them. After a few days i spotted a few mites(i had found a few outside in the herb garden)and decided not to spray with anything but to leave it and see if the garlic worked. A week or so later there were no littlle rascals to be seen.
