I've heard that if you put your plants in a fridge and turn it right down low the plants will think it is winter and start budding. Is this true and what would be the best light brghtness or wattage. or could you just put them in the fridge overnight and bring them out in the sun during the day.

Purple Buds 1 2

I was looking up some seedbanks for no reasons, and I noticed some indica strains, that some seedbanks made a note:"If you have cooler dark periods while in the budding stage, can increase the "purple" colour" Anyone can give me more information?, is this possible on some indica strains, you can increase the purple colour on the buds if you made the dark periods a lot cooler? Thanks for your time Urbanhog http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/contrib/sp/chefico.gif

Ever noticed that a lot of hormone additives contain bee's wax ? Well AF of mine tells me he has been using a special non refined honey as a cloning jell for his clones and has met with a lot of success. The stuff he uses is called Medihoney and it is produced by bees that collect pollen from tea tree plants which as we all know has medicinal properties. Manufacturers Capilano have developed the product which they claim is having great success in treating conditions such as menigococcal septicaemia, eczema and burns. Medihoney is produced from a particular type of honey, high potency anti-bacterial leptospermum honey, which until recently was largely ignored due to…

My friend Stinky Pete (I have a strain named after him, he gave me the original mother of the line) showed me this technique. He's a bit of an old timer and he doesn't like fancy new fangled things like screens, so he just breaks his branches and bends em over. It's a bit more of a careful process than it sounds. If you feel the stem you will notice it's hollow, but stringy. If you squeeze the stem and slowly bend it over, it will fold, just like a straw. (practise on a straw till you know what I mean) The woody 'skeleton' has been broken but all the'skin and veins' of the plant remain intact and it will heal within a day and start to grow on this angle. Side shoots …

I am looking for a method of storing hooter for up to six months without freezing. I have heard that vacuum sealing works. Anyone tried this method or have another idea apart from smoking it quicker. Thanks.

 Do this, do that.............Do whatever the fuck ya want just make sure that whatever ya do ya learn from it. When I started I had all the fanciest ways and newest hot shit ideas and after a few seasons (constant indoor) when I thought I was starting to grow a better plant an old bloke, been growin reefer since he was a young fella showed me a plant that I couldn't belive, the chunkiest, dencest, branchiest plant I've ever seen. When I asked how he wandered over and with a crooked smile just grabbed the plant by one of its main branches and just bent the fucker ovar then repeated this to every strait branch. He (and I) reckons if yer not in any great rush and wa…

This technique was developed In Holland, where growers have cold climates all yr round and often live in small confined apartment buildings and dont have the space like in a big country such as Australia or the USA,they developed a way of growing small compact(bushy) plants that can be grown in a high dense manner,eg placed less than 8 cm apart from each other and the result speaks for itself a SEA OF GREEN!

I'm considering a scrog grow as my first. Just wondered if any here have done scrog grows and if you think they're worth it or not. my grow space will be about 400deepx600widex1800high, but I'm now thinking I'll double that and use a 400W HPS instead of a 250. From what I've read at Overgrow an experienced scrog grower can get around 2 ounce per square foot. Even if I got 1 to 1.5 I'd be more than happy.

Welcome back Ozstonerz ...the new site looks good and a donation will be forthcoming. Just a thought on scrog growing....can anyone see why the stems cant be trained on top of the screen instead of under it ? It would be just like tying them down instead of stuffing around under the screen and breaking a lot of the stems when they need to be repositioned to make way for latecomers. When space is an issue I think it would be much easier to work on top instead of underneath, especially for old barstards like me who prefer to work at waist height. Im going to try the sea of green method just for the experience but I think I'd prefer to scrog.
