i've not heard of pollen being kept for years...this isn't to say it isn't possible i guess...

pollen will keep for months at a time as long as humidity is kept to a minimum....humidity will naturally make your pollen go mouldy...maybe adding a dessicant pouch will also prolong it's life...i saw a post at overgrow where a guy kept pollen in plastic drinking straws, sealed by melting at one end and i think he stuffed the other end with cotton wool...
