last october november and december i lost over stacks of seedlings thanks to some ether rats or grasshoppers. we built cages over them and it would not stop them. even sticking the seedling trays on the roof of the house did not stop the problem.. thanks to that we now have a shit season with seedlings that have remained seedlings for months. total failure so after seeing the thread on this site about a solutiopn i went ahead today i got one of those mini greenhouses for the next season. looks all good but i am concerned that there is not enough height in the actual trays to support the seedling root system. i feel like they will be rootbound too quickly. what i…

Hey peoples . I have decided to go and grow my own . Going out door I live in Vic so i have to wait till after August right?. We had some severe frost here early September last year so mite leave to mid sep. Just debating on where to grow either have 1 or 2 pots in the back yard. Or do the bush thing which would suit me as im always up bush camping fishing etc. Get into some pretty country. With the bush do u plant the seeds and just check on them every so often. Will probly have one in the back yard 2 so i can learn a bit about growing. Is is better to have a few plots going in differnet areas . Im keen as esspicaly looking forward to not buying weed of dodgy people …

g'day I was hoping someone could help me with some growing tips. I currently have an outdoor plant that is coming along really well, only I have a feeling it may not stay so healthy. I have it in a pot that is about 32cm deep, 42cm diametre, and the plant itself is about 45cm tall. What I am hoping will happen is that it might mean the plant is a little bit stunted, but so long as I keep it in plenty of water it will stay healthy. What I'm scared of is that the roots will eventually try to get out and this will eventually kill it. wadda ya reckon? I like having the portability of having it in a pot, being able to move it around a bit, etc. cheers

G'day guys, after some pointers. I've only grown outdoors with Lowryder but looking to turf that and grow some real plants. I am experienced with hydro but obviously this is a different ball game. I'm looking to grow in a mini greenhouse in the good old backyard, so I'd like to keep the plants small(which is why I grew the lowryder). I have some b52, WW ,Bgum, Bberry, Sskunk, Top44, AK47 beans to use and not sure which ones would work well with the intermittent sunlight and varying temps. I was thinking of vegging the plants indoors(if need be) then taking them out at about 8-10" to flower(with a cover for 12/12) so they will be around 2' when harvested. What do you …

Hello there, my dear mates I could have used the search feature but I thought my questions would not have been asked before like this. Okies, so here's the scenario - my friend and I, total newbs at growing, would like to grow a marijuana plant in his greenhouse. I would like answered the following questions. 1) How would we go about doing this? What size pot should this plant be housed in? What kind of soil, what pH, and how can it be monitored effectively? 2) How much water is needed for optimum growth (volume and frequency)? What other substances can be used to benefit the overall growth and condition of the plant? 3) If we were to go about planting it, how many …

Hey everyone i was in a bit of a rush and i don't think i took a long enough cutting......heres the photo Is this a female or is it too early to tell? Should i take the bigger leaves off too? It was cut with a sharp blade on an angle and then dipped in clonex rooting gel and then put into a soaked rockwool cube. Also a cut plastic bottle was put over the top. Its hard to think straight while your out guerilla style, at least i smell nice and skunky, this cutting came off a nice m60.

So I finally got my round tuit... I was given four plants in cups of perlite a few weeks back. They had been under a fluoro and after I brought them home they sat out on my deck for a while. They took a few days to adapt to the change but after that started doing well. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my pots and coco as soon as I should have and they started to shrivel and most of the leaves on them dropped off or turned brown. They've been in the coco now for about 2 weeks and I have started watering them with Yates Thrive Soluble Fruit and Flower plant food about a week ago. I was told to use 4.5 Litres (with nutes) and divide it evenly between the four plants every…

They are black in colour and they seem to be white in early stages and like to thrive on my babys. They dont jump, crawl ,or visually move which makes me think where the fuck do they come from??????????AND HOW DO I GET RID OF THEM??????????. They have a hard type of shell and when u squash them they let out a bloody type red colour . Any help on these little BASTARDS would be greatley appreciated....CHEERS

Just wondering...I'm currently growing on my balcony, just a couple of "no specific breed" 2nd gen hydro seeds, in potting mix soil in pots. In terms of the pots, how big, is big enough for the root systems...etc? These ones, I won't let become gigantic or anything, maybe 2ft high, tops....so....yeah, what sized pots should I use, cos I've currently got them in relatively small ones, about 8cm high, and about 6cm across.
