Strange Coloured Leaves

Recommended Posts

Bongon i had Powery Mildew on my Pumkins looked very like your problem, its common on pumpkins, zucchinis, grapes, strawberries, roses etc, it saps the plants vigor and spreads all over if not controlled

there are treatments like milk and water srayed all over and underside of leaves .. there is another spray from bi-carb soda, vegtable oil and :peace: umm i forget the ingredients ... but there are none toxic treatments

just a suggestion :peace:

Bongon your plant looks great mate.

At this time of year outside it's not at all unusual

for some plants to start displaying all sorts of

different colours. It's a combination of a lot of

things that causes it. None of them of any concern.

All through flowering MJ sucks up a lot less Nitrogen,

as it's time to grow is well and trully over. Especially

if you did the right thing and switched from veg to flower

nutes. Flower nute mixes contain no or very little

Nitrogen. If you also flushed well before the switch, the

plant's only choice if it needs N is to suck it out of it's

stored reserves (the leaves). As the stored nutes in the

leaves start being depleted chlorophill levels drop and

you start to see underlying pigments. These pigments

were allways there but were being masked by the

chlorophill. This is all a good thing as none of us like

the chlorophill in the final product. This process helps

to produce a much smoother smoke and a quicker

cure. Also, Cooler night temps help to bring out these

other pigments.

IMHO bro. There is nothing to worry about.

Dont pick too early!!!!! And for these last two weeks

onlygive Oxygenated Water. No more nutes. The

different colours will probably become alot more

prominant and you will be smoking some very sweet

buds very soon.

Check this out for a bit of colour loss!!!

PS:Even if I'm wrong about this (It has been known to happen)

I still wouldn't be doing anything about it.

2 Weeks from harvest anything you feed or spray on your plnt at the moment

will be detrimental to your smoke.

Hope this helps

cheers :peace:

hey there bongonaussie,

thripes maby last year my outdoor plants where hit hard with what i think was thripes. Lower leaves looked bug damaged while above newer foliage was a silver colour with less spots.

sprayed with an insecticide new foliage returned to normal but stained or eaten leaves never came back from near death.

My plants finnish well though dont think the yield was effected, Unsure if you should be using an insecticide so far into flower but do check for bugs or there marks on lower to centre leaves..
