General Cultivation Q&A

Hi All, So I been a Canna man for a many years now. Simple and Easy. But I am moving toward powder nutes for a few reason, price, storage, less trips to the hydro store and I want to play around with my own levels. I have come accross NPK - RAW nutes ( http://www.npk-industries.com/ ). They are US based, I asked my friendly Hydro shop owner and they said they cant get them in due to permitting reason. Has any one seen these products in Australia or Has anyone been able to get them in. Main produces I was looking at getting are there Silica, Amino Acid, and Humic Acid. Any info would be great. A hydroponics shop has just opened up here and I was chatting to her online about some products. I'm currently using hydroponics nutrient from Manutec which is an all purpose nutrient. It seems to be giving reasonable results but I want to step up and start using specific nutrients. I'm growing Northern Lights Autos in perlite/vermiculite. Even though I'm using the manutec I also have veg A and B nutrient by Xtreme Nutrient so am just after bloom nutrients. She has Canna, GeneralHydro, Biodiesel and Flairform. What would be the best choice brand for a newby to hydro? I know sometimes it's personal preference but any advice would be good. Also she has a product called R…

I'm on the hunt for a Z7 replacement. It's advertised as an enzyme cleanser. Basically feeds on bad bacteria and keeps reservoir clean as fuck. During my search I happened upon cyco Zyme which seems similar. Has anyone used this or have any idea if this could be an alternative? Mignht be talking to myself again but didn't want to spend money if it's useless..

Have started my first grow and this seedling has suddenly started to discolour at the first set of leaves and ia drooping a lot which im assuming is from overwatering? Ph in the soil is at 6.5, medium is 50/50 soil/coco in a 70/30 mix of perlite. Has been given 2 feedings of 1ml/L of powerfeed green, biobizz biogrow & seasol and soil has been fed with gogo juice. So the missus got a sewing machine. I have some landscapers fabric in the shed. I'm going to have a go at sewing my own fabric pots. Now I know the normal shapes I bought from ebay but if I am making one from scratch I have the chance to make it to the dimensions which would suit our plant the best. Hey Guys Looking to start my first grow soon and wanting to set up an Rdwc for 2 plants. Was just wondering what nutrients others use? I'm thinking about use the General Hydroponics Flora range. Is this a good choice and is it available off the shelf in Australian Stores?

a beginner grower here and Id like some opinions on Carbon Filters, Ionizers etc. Like is one better than the other? (I already have a carbon filter but I think it may be too big for the room it will go in, (10x20 in) is there such a thing as having one too big? ..the room is a converted container (4.8 long 2.4 wide 2.4 high) how about noise reduction? my exhaust is loud! any info would be helpful, thank you!
