General Cultivation Q&A

What size tent do you think would be a minimum to grow? I know there are lots of considerations to make with which types/sizes you are looking at growing and the number of plants. I am looking between a 1.6 H x .8 x.8 or a 2 H x 1 x 1, trying to stay small tent wise due to cost and space restrictions. Currently got autos but I would like to down the track play with photos. Looking at the gardis pro tents, they seem good bang for buck.

Does anyone have any tips on doing a gorilla grow? Thinking about doing a couple gorilla grows this year. Going to start with a few Autos before its too hot and then try some fem beans. How should i go about keeping the plants hydrated threw out summer with 40+ degree days? Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Hey friends, So i threw in some (what i think are) og kush seeds in some coco and now i have 3 plants which are 4 weeks old. The thing is im not sure if the strain was autoflower and they’re looking pretty leafy at 4 weeks. Was wondering whether i should just switch lighting by week 5 judging by the size of the plants? Or just ride it out till 6-7 weeks, then switch if no flower. Is there a definite period in which non auto lighting should be switched by?

Hi guys, second grow here. Do buds sites need light? I have read (on other websites) that they do. From what I understand, the flowers grow bigger? On the other hand, if there are less leaves then photosynthesis is not taking place as much? However, defoliation, especially around bud sites seems common practice to get lights to the bud sites. I defoliated quite a bit the plant at the back and the one at the front not much at all. Low stress training on both of them. Vegging for 4-5 months on both plants. Around 9 days into 12/12 light cycle. Back plant has a 10 gallon pot, front plant a 15 gallon. Grown in osmocote organics plus and powerfeed pink.

Hey crew, Just wondering how to get my plants to start flowering ASAP! On 12/12 for a week, really need to get them outdoors in a hurry! Got too many so want to weed out before moving. Could only source Cyco Coco... Never used it before... Not impressed. There's a lot of sand residue after its been washed, also I found it to very fine, almost to the point of powder. Anyone else find this with the Cyco Coco? Maybe I just copped a crook bag.

Unlike the rest of the world, we don't have foxfarm or any premium soil available locally What is the best off the shelf soil mix ?? (obviously will be adding perlite etc )

Whats the most extreme mutants you've encountered? excluding the obvious ones that happen. i have had a few mutants back in the day, i actually went out of my way to find them for a while when i had more beans than sense. had a couple of poly's.. tri-nodes.. and one that still blows my mind today, was a microplant.. i had one abnormal looking seed pop and i let it go for a week in cotton wool before i decided to physically remove the shell myself. i noticed, there was a separate growth that was about 2mm long, and about 1/10th of a mm wide shoot and a tiny pinhead of green spec on it. I tried to keep this alive, drip feeding it 5 or so times a day in a microfine …

Hi, I have read up about stabilsing a strain and interested to get an answer to my question. I have a new strain, the first from the seeds that I produced via colloidal silver method. If I really like the way one phenotype has grown and tastes, to reproduce her do I clone a few then allow one to seed? Or is there a bigger process to get her stabilised? COP and WW
