A drug dealer who reported the fact that someone had stolen nearly £1,000 from him but later admitted he had made the money selling drugs will have to do 120-hours of community punishment. Damoun Sabzabadi, 20, of High Road, North Finchley, was sentenced on Friday after pleading guilty to possessing seven bags of cannabis on March 18 at Hendon Magistrates Court. The court heard he made profits of around £500 a week by selling cannabis in nine-ounce bags in a period since July 2003, but denied ever selling drugs to strangers or children. Sabzabadi went to Colindale police station in Grahame Park Way on March 13, saying he had been robbed of £980 in cash. But when h…

A winner on the Austrian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? has been arrested after he allegedly invested his prize money in a cannabis farm. The unemployed man from Lower Austria won more than £100,000 on the show last May. But instead of going on a dream holiday or buying his own home, the 29-year-old allegedly decided to build on the small fortune by mass producing cannabis. Together with his girlfriend the man, who has not been named for legal reasons, rented a property in the capital Vienna in which to grow the plants. Police, who caught the Millionaire winner as he made a delivery to a customer, said he had managed to harvest at least ten batches wort…

Aboriginal leaders will co-operate in identifying traffickers in alcohol, drugs and petrol in South Australia's Anangu Pitjantjatjara lands, the area's new service delivery co-ordinator, Bob Collins, said last night. After talks with a women's council in Alice Springs this week, Mr Collins said he wanted to make the lands safer for those who lived there. About 50 attended the administrative centre of Umuwa last night with stories of social breakdown. "Services on the lands are bogged in the sand up to the axle and I plan to get them unbogged, I can promise you that," Mr Collins told them. The Pitjantjatjara Lands are Australia's oldest self-governing tribal lands. …

For the last few months now i have been smoking daily and i was wondering how long it takes for my system to be clean marijuana for say a blood or urine test. I know that its roughly 28 days but i have been smoking heavily and expected it to take longer but recently i heard off a friend that the more you smoke the quicker it leaves your system due to your body being more immune to it. Also is there anything that can mask the cannabis in my system to keep blood or urine tests from picking it up. Any help would be appreciated Peace Tracid

Imagine for one moment that we had two races of people arrive on our shores. One is called the Alcohol Race, the other is called the Cannabis Race. Now, Alcohol proceeded to kill 3,000 plus of our people every year that it was here and hospitalised thousands more. Meanwhile, Cannabis was never recorded as having killed anyone and only sent a few people to the emergency room (and most of those were part Alcohol or one of the other races of Heroin, Cocaine, Ecstasy and GHB) Alcohol also got many of its people in the paper on a constant basis by causing disturbances, assaulting other people, driving cars when they shouldn't have been, and much, much more. The race of Ca…

Special Minister of State John Della Bosca said the posters were first displayed during the summer holidays and were again targeting students during these school holidays. "The messages will appear in bathroom advertising in cinemas and shopping centres which draw thousands of young people at this time of year," Mr Della Bosca said …

A LIVER transplant saved Larry Hagman when doctors gave him six months to live. But after going back to his old drinking ways, the former Dallas star says he doesn't deserve a second chance. The 72-year-old star, who played scheming oil baron JR Ewing in the 1980s soap, has developed life-threatening problems with his replacement liver. He ruled out being given yet another one, as he is unwilling to deprive anyone else who might need it. "I wouldn't have it even if it meant I had another 20 years," he said. "It doesn't scare me. You are going to die eventually anyhow." Hagman had a liver transplant in 1995 after his own was riddled with cirrhosis and cancer. Do…
