A man caught bringing a cannabis plant into a Brisbane court says he will fight drug charges as part of his long-running campaign to have marijuana legalised. Peter Till, 39, of Nimbin in northern NSW, appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with possessing a dangerous drug. Security officers said they seized the 50cm-tall cannabis plant at a screening machine in the Brisbane Magistrates Court's entry foyer on Monday. Mr Till said the plant was "evidence" for a court appearance. After the plant was seized, he still faced court on drug charges stemming from his arrest in October last year for smoking a cannabis cigarette in the city's Queen Street Mall. Desp…

Guess this post could go under a lot of different headings. I love this article. It's on the Church of the Universe, based in Canada, that claims pot as their sacrament. Not surprisingly, they've been busted recently. http://metaball.ca/2007/ball_Jan-07/0107_01.html

So how many people have actually died from smoking dope? I haven't heard of any 100% certain fatalities myself but one book I read alleged that Bruce Lee died from a rare allergic reaction. He was quite a dope fiend apparently. Him and his mate Steve McQueen who used to tear down Hollywood boulevard in his sports car. Bruce is quoted as saying that sitting in the passenger seat of that car was the scariest thing he ever did. Dope is incarcenogenic like Tobacco but I've never heard of any cancer cases. Millions die from the Governments favourite taxable legal drug so why dope hasn't been shown to cause similar effects on health beats the hell out of me. I'm sure the proh…

Any one seen the ads on Ch9 for WEEDS starting Tues 5th Dec ? Theres nothing on 9MSN about it however I've seen quite a few ads so far( during Letterman Monday morning 3:00am 27-11-06) ,theres a bit on the net WEEDS TV Show ,from memory the show does not portray cannabis in a negative way,its just by-the-way dope sales as they go about there lives.A single mum I believe this could be interesting in view of the current "Reefer Madness" hysteria in OZ at the moment. As you can imagine its cable only in the US however so is the Sopranos&the Simpsons and we get those uncensored, the US audiences would never get this sort of stuff free-to-air ,remember the Janet Jacko BS…

Thinking of blog ideas, like everyone, I thought I’d share my favorite moments from 2006. Of course when I started thinking, I quickly concluded, I didn’t do anything this past year. Something most people suffer from, but it’s worse for me. Right now I’m down to my last few grams of marijuana and remembering what I had for lunch is difficult. It’s not short-term memory loss from cannabis, it’s a symptom of MS. With my last few crumbs of cannabis and my day timer, I present my highlights of 2006. Jan. 06. – American refugee Renee Boje came to Toronto as part of Peace Summit 2006. Together we participated in an amazing women’s circle. Thirty very important ladies i…

Was just sent this by the Reverend Brothers whom I love dearly... http://metaball.ca/2007/ball_Jan-07/0107_01.html Enjoy! Love and a Squish, Alison xx Heaven Hemp Us On October 26th, 2006 the police raided a shop in the Beaches district of Toronto. The owner was arrested and is currently held in the prison at Penetanguishene. He was accused of trafficking and running a grow-op. The operation was both part of Health Canada's medical marijuana program and a branch of the Church of the Universe where they consider marijuana to be their sacrament. The media coverage of the raid was more than enough to pique my curiosity. As I began research…

Forgot I even had this book but it's such a long winded pile of numbers and graphs and psycho babble that after flicking through a few pages again it's not hard to see why. It highlights that pollies have had favourable info on pot for some time This thing is 157 A4 pages thick so it will take me a while to wade back through it, but here are a few items, Chapter 2 The Background to Cannabis Page 9, Table 1.1 Summary of Inquiries British East India Hemp Commission 1893-94 Findings; Cannabis use more extensive than believed, and effects less than feared. Use not linked to insanity or crime. Excessive use weakens constitution and increases susceptibility to d…

Greetings, Stoners! The rich narrative of the Australian cannabis community, with OZ Stoners standing tall at its helm, is a blend of trials, tribulations, heartening comebacks, and the unwavering dedication of its members. Let’s delve deep into this riveting tale.
Geocities: The Digital Genesis
In the bustling digital streets of the late '90s, Yahoo Geocities stood out as a haven for burgeoning online communities. It was here, amidst this digital renaissance, that OZ Stoners planted its foundational roots. This marked the dawn of a space that would go on to become synonymous with Australian cannabis culture.
Navigating the Digital Tempests
On its journey, OZ Stoners faced formidable challenges. Between Yahoo's unpredictability and the unexpected anti-cannabis stance of titans like Meta, steering the ship required a blend of adaptability, tenacity, and foresight.
A Hiatus and the Phoenix's Ascent
Come 2022, OZ Stoners entered a period of unplanned dormancy, lasting a challenging 12 months. But, reminiscent of the legendary phoenix, this hiatus was transformed into an opportunity for rebirth. The platform underwent comprehensive upgrades, server enhancements, and a revitalising overhaul. As it emerged, it did so with a phoenix-like rise, soaring higher and brighter, dedicated to serving the community with even more zeal and purpose.
Ode to the Trailblazers
The tapestry of OZ Stoners is woven with the dedication and vision of its founding members. Their relentless drive and contributions have been the bedrock of its success. While many of these pioneers continue to shape its direction, we pause to honor those trailblazers we've lost over time. Their indomitable spirit continues to inspire and resonate within the cannabis community. - Memorial Hall
The Lighthouse of Today and Promise of Tomorrow
OZ Stoners, in the contemporary digital landscape, stands as a lighthouse for the Australian cannabis community. Beyond being a forum, it exemplifies adaptability, unity, and a shared passion.
