Organic, pro-biotic and organic growing without bottled nutrients

Recommended Posts

Thanks Sooty,

Yeah mate, this is stuff I mixed myself, heavily influenced by itchy and basically a Coote mix. Which was also going really a long time in its essence before him too.

Lots of variations around. Or better or less better rounded soils.

The easy as stuff may be a bit better or more well rounded etc, I suspect mine may have a tad less microbial activity at least at the start.

Few setbacks this year nothing to do with soil but yeah, had 7 from 9 females from reg seed then when I got it all going too making space a problem.

Happy with veg growth so really keen to see how it went through the flower cycle.

Flipped 3 I think weeks ago, looking good so far on these ones.

Ahh cool, so the Irish Kelp good then?

Why is it called Arcadian if from Ireland?

What's the go with Irish Peat Moss? Heard CC mention it in an interview?

Hey, Irish kelp is not called Acadian, Acadian Sea Plants is the company from Nova Scotia. Irish kelp is same species. I would only use sphagnum peat moss from Canada if possible, European harvesting methods are more environmentally destructive... Also unclear if it's dried naturally as the Canadian stuff is

I would soak in fulvic acid for half hour or so, dip cutting in pure aloe then straight into peat cube which also soaked with fulvic/kelp

DoNothingGarden, any suggestions on a good source of fulvic acid?

Can see it as an additive in some products, but I'm not trusting the other sites I've found selling it. I'm in Vic.

Will be getting some of your soil soon too.

Thanks

Nice one! Yeah fulvic acid should be purchased from sources that supply organic agriculture, not grow shops with mysterious labels... IMO. Nutri-Tech probably produce the best fulvic acid in Australia. We will stock it eventually. Excellent for smaller containers once a fortnight, particularly with sprouted seed teas as a catalyst for enzymes and further nutrient cycling...
