Bogan's backyard!

Recommended Posts

The hole looks small... But inside its 1x1m, as it gets deeper, it gets wider...

just a lill note AB

rule of thumb

hay = food for animals = nutrients left in the plant = your green ingredient for composting

straw = bedding for animals = no nutrients left = your brown ingredient for composting

pea straw doesn't quite fit that rule of thumb , it should be called pea hay , not straw

pea straw still has nutrients left in the plant matter & would work as your green ingredient for compost despite the name

careful with mixing compost browns into a soil mix , like wood chip or straw ,

the browns mixed in & not top dressed , will rob N from the mix to break down the browns

that hole looks empty ?

Scrap off the mulch and dig the whole area up     ;)

I would also consider a bigger pot too as it is a different process in a pot as temperatures heat up the plastic out side of it .

It will out grow that green pot pretty quick when the weather warms up

It will still be ok ....
