Wattage doesn't mean much by itself, this light is equivalent to a 600w HID and cost 4 times as much.

True, but when you combine the power saving, heat reduction, only one light needed and the stealth from the power reduction on multiple lights in a larger grow. it is not so clear cut. Plus I love the idea of one light that does the whole job, so you are cutting down on equipment. In the end it all becomes subjective to everyones differing needs.

Yeah and lamp life is drastically longer so you wont be buying new lamps every grow or every second grow. It will pay for itself in a few cycles

hey tangwena, the new LEC lamps wont run on a standard ballast, they have completely changed the lamp design. its now a very small bulb with a dual pin base rather than a screw in base.

They have sold out of 400w Only has 250w's left.
